Vaporizing vs Smoking ?

what are some of the differences between vaporizing and smoking, besides some of the healthy effects and what not. do you get a better high? use less weed?

IMO, yes the high is much better. Plus, the green doesn't get burned.

You get more for using less.

Vape is the way to go.

This is definitely the first vape thread that's gotten so much positive feed right off the bat. Kind of interesting lol.

My two cents? I used to vape every night before bed, because I was worried about my parents. So when I didn't need to worry about them, I just started rollin' j's and smoking my bong... I personally prefer smoking. I just find it more enjoyable. I like the taste better, I like that slight harshness, I like the kick I get after a big smoky hit. I don't use vapes anymore, as I don't enjoy them as much, and there's no need for me to do so, but I'm sure when I'm nearing 60, and my lungs are getting older... I'll have an nice expensive vaporizer, and smoke blunts as an every once in a while treat.

Still, vaporizers are fantastic, especially if it's authentic, and not a lightbulb. Light bulb was all I ever used, and I was never really disappointed. Except for when they broke of course... That's just a big pain in the ass lol. They get you as high as a joint, with less weed. They ARE better for your health, period.

But if your anything like me, nothing compares to a nice tasty blunt...

That's just how I feel, some people enjoy the taste of a nice clean vape hit more. And all the power to them!

It's not good for smoking, you can, it's just not as good at all, but by golly gosh, is it ever good for brownies. Just save up what looks like two grams of it, put it in a brownie mix and your high as a kite over the ocean.



how do u know when ur weed is done after using a vaporizer?

You stop seeing the vapor coming from the weed. It takes a little while though, and you'll usually know when you cant taste it as much.

vaping is all around better. you use less weed, you get higher, you can smoke the leftovers, theres less odor, and its good for your lungs...i could go on for days...:rastasmoke:

I'm definitly glad I purchased my vaporizer. Alot more of a cleaner feeling high, easier on the lungs, and you only need about half as much weed.

Although, I perfer vaping only during the daytime. I personally like smoking more before I go to bed because I seem to get more of a heavier feeling high.

Ok, so let me summarize what I think i've gathered.

-Healthier
-Better high
-Less usage of weed
-Weed still smokable after vaping
-No smell?
-Get just as high with half the weed

Ok, but can you vape your weed until it's dry of THC and unsmokable?

I just don't like to throw away weed that looks like it might have THC in it (still green/brown).

Okay, I don't know if I am burning the weed or if I am just not vaping it enough. It smells and tastes terrible, but a lot of it is still yellow/green-ish. I think its cause a lot of it is burned ash but a lot of it is still good so it tastes terrible, but I don't know how to stop that or to get it cleared out.

Any help?

Vape is very good. I bought the Vapir One for like $150. It is good. If you are going to do it use the vape bags:jointsmile: . But I do not think it should replace the joint, bong, or pipe. It is good to rotate. I dont like smoking the same way all the time. I get board with vapeing on ocasions; so I just spark a J. But you should definatly try it:thumbsup: .

I only vaporize now. I got a whip style vaporizer, I am going to buy a portable one (vapor genie)
I have hit the same "bowl" in my vape like 5 days in a row! I think you get way more effect/amount of weed. Then you can cook with the vapo-poo and get fucked again! How can you not use one? They pay 4 themselves fast. :)

As i said in another thread I started, I just got the herbalaire. It kicks ass. From the reviews I read, it's supposed to be comparable to the volcano (although I have never used one so I can't say myself). And at $250, it's definitely affordable.

That said, joints and bowls are still probably preferable when your in a party situation.

Oh yeah, I definitely cleaned the light bulb. I bought a clear one to begin with, so I didn't have to scrape the white stuff off, but I still defiantly cleaned it.

I think it may not have been dry all the way, so the weed was burning weird. Could that do it?

I would clean my bulb thoroughly, use salt to get whatever chemicals are in there, alcohol it, then soap and water and let dry.

alright check it out, when the weed starts to taste like burnt popcorn/chestnuts you know its time to refill. I use a vape sometimes but right now I have no way to test the temp of my hotplate setup. so without knowing when the plate reaches 360-400 degrees the weed burns really fast instead of vaporizing like it should lol. Oh and the weed looks brown when its done not black as hell fyi. I personally like smoking and vaping just depends on my mood.

Yes. I do it when I vape (lightbulb).

After it turns black and no vapors come out of the bulb, you know it's done.

I have had a vaporiser for about 4 weeks now. Vapir One version 4.0

It cost me 180CAD andI found it to be a good model for what I needed it for.

So far I have found...

the high is cleaner... Not as larthgic..
It tastes exactly like the weed smells which is great..

however....

I find it does not get me as high as smoking does...maybe im using it wrong but i don't think so I see vapor at about 320F to 350F... given though Smoking gets me more ripped and larthgic... CouchLock

So I think its a good weapon to have... I smoke on average 2 joints a day usually more but thats an average... I have replaced one joint with the vaporiser... This is a good health move more than anythign for me....

thats 365 less joints a year for me.. less carsongens.... heathier life....

You'll know because it will be black ashes as if it were burned in a bowl when it is done

Hold the flame about an inch away, and only put a little in there and make sure you cut it up real good before putting it in there so it will vaporize easier

Okay here's how I've been dealing w/ things w/ my boyfriends vape...

FIRST off, the weed should be a very dead-looking BROWN after vaping, not black. Black means there's still some kick to it. Or actually, those people who stop using it when it's black are probably the people who reuse it in brownies and stuff, which actually leads me to my second point... If proporly spent, the weed in a vape should Never be capable of reuse. I say this because when I'm done vaping, and the weed is a dead-looking brown (NOT a burnt brown, just a spent brown) it has absolutely nothing mind-altering about it (i tried smoking it... nothing)

So basically, I guess some people have different opinions on when their weed is spent... i think it's the difference between getting 4 or 5 bags out of it, or getting 6 or 7. personally i like to spend all my weed in the vape, instead of saving the "black stuff" for brownies. it's nice to save the crushed stuff and realize how much you've smoked (something you cannot do with combustion smoking).

as far as the HIGH goes, i'm going to be dead-ass honest with you, as I would be the very first to knock a High that was less than awesome... the last time i smoked the vape, Mackey-we named it lol (cuz when the THC balloon fills up, it looks like Mr. Mackey's body & head from South Park) I got so incredibly high, that it left me a babbling idiot.... i had 100% tunnel vision and i just remember constantly saying "i feel like everything i can't see right now does not exist"... aka, i haven't been that high since my first couple times smoking.

the high is amazing, probably if you do it right... honestly, i'd rather over-use my weed than under-use it. over-using it, at least in the HerbalAir, doesn't render it bad-tasting or anything, because it CONSTANTLY tastes just like it smells (as someone else said), but by using it until you are absolutely sure no THC is left, then you're getting the MOST out of your product, and getting fucked in the brain by the high you get... :) Happy vapeing!

The way u get high when smoking is not from combustion of the plant material itself but the hot smoke travelling through the rest of your weed on the way to your mouth vaporizes the chemicals in the weed underneath. That's why u always get the best hits the first time before u have burned anything underneath.

Ya cause the fire just ends up burning up all the plant material and the THC. It can't really affect u if it's destroyed can it? I remember reading this somewhere. I believe it was something I was reading when i was studying up on activating your weed. I could be wrong on where I found it though. Damn stoner brain! LOL!
