Hey there all of you beautiful people.
I think this is the WEEEEEEK that I am gonna do it.
For years now I have been contemplating my next tattoo, and lately, I just have this feeling that I know it's time.
So I am going to call up my artist tomorrow and make an appointment for him to draw it up on WEDNESDAY.
This is so exciting.
I plan on getting a design in my lower right or left back area, above my hips area...and I plan on getting a design of columbines/morning glories/and butterflies/maybe foxgloves(maybe some other bugs, like bees and dragonflies, possibly lady bugs..) I am gonna talk with the artist, tell him my thoughts..and trust what he is going to do with it, since he is absoultly amazing.
It's been 3 years since I have gotten any tattoos, I am freakin' stoked.
Anyone else just itchin for one?? It's nutty..

i've been thinking about getting a tattoo....but the only thing that stops me, is i think about how different i was when i was 18,19, 21...and how old i am now. i've changed quite a lot and my views on things have also changed a lot. and i just can't think of anything that would mean so much to me that i would want it permanently on my body.... and i wonder how i would feel about getting a tattoo in my later life....like if i would regret it or what not.
but to each his own! keep us posted.

If you have that mentality then I don't suggest you even get one at all.
I feel all my tattoos grow on me whether or not that is the person I am now. It doesn't matter if at the time it doesn't have that much meaning to you, or me personally rather...because I can always look back, and that IS what holds the meaning. I think it is totally awesome if I am not the person I was when I got the tattoo, because it is STILL apart of me....and I can always have the tattoo to remember that part of my life. Plus, on top of that all..tattoos to me are art, some people pay hundreds of dollars to put art on their walls...well I pay hundreds of dollars to have amazing artist permanently put it on my body.
If you are the type of person to regret, then don't do it. I personally don't regret, but I learn and experience.
Sure, I only have had all my tattoos for a little over 3 years...but I still look at them and get a really good feeling and love them that much.
Tattoos are just a mark in time...
My other tattoos, I was never sure if I would love them forever...and I was never sure if it was exactly even what I wanted; until I did it. Thats just the type of person I am...
..and I like it..
...and in fact, I love it.

i think tattoo's should be a symbol of what you were or what was going on at the time... not something insignificant... but something you can look back on and feel the memory of how you felt and what not.. i could probably give you some ideas but yeah.. i'm not supposed to reveal superman's identity

For all my tattoos...I can remember exactly where it was...who was with me...what day it was...what I was wearing....
...and all that makes me remember where I was in life, what I was feeling...what was going on at that point in time.
...and my so much has changed, and I am at a great place in my life..that I would love to remember forever by having beautiful art on my body.

slip...if i ever get one, there is a very good chance it will have to do with my secret identity!

Yeah, I get really sick of people saying my tattoos are cliche.
Butterflies are important to me, I don't really care if they are cliche. A lot of people have them for a reason, and a butterfly is never the same. They are beautiful and symbolize so many things. It doesn't matter if it is the same idea as many others have, it is unique to me..and no matter what, no one will ever have the exact same one.
It's not like I just popped this idea into my head...and if you knew me, you would know that I am doing it for myself, and that..well, I guess I can't explain it.
But basically, hearing that it is a cliche idea....well doesn't really mean anything to me, because it is unique to me no matter what anyone says. :hippy:
I appreciate your input, but hey, my other tattoo is a fairy, and my others stars. You don't think I haven't heard it before? I have thought that point through, yes..:D

So? What means nothing to you may mean the world to someone else.
In the end, she's the one looking in the mirror to see it. It's gotta be something she enjoys to see, takes her back to a moment in time when everything was gravy. It has to truly represent who she is, not just something that looks cool and original.

I want to get the King Of The Jungle tattooed on my upper arm. Partly because I'm a Leo, partly because my father also has some sort of cat on his upper arm. One of things stopping me is the pain. I'm just a wimp when it comes to pain. I think that this tattoo idea is a good one though. I'd be happy to have a lion on my body. It tells a little about my personality. Arggg...
P.S. I dig the stars on your feet Tallulah. :thumbsup:I wouldn't worry about the pain, I thought the same thing, but basically it's more annoying than anything, it doesn't really hurt, it's just distracting.

It's been about 3-4 months since my last two tattoos. But I can't wait to get another one. Not sure what I wanna get yet, but I know I want to get another. My whole life, growing up, I HATED needles of any sort. Now, I want to pierce and tattoo everything! I don't know what it is, but it just drives me nuts! I need to make another trip to the shop soon.

Maybe you should just go in and roam around a bit. That might give you a little bit of a "fix". Or buy a tat mag. Cheaper until you're in a better financial spot.

It is amazing, really. I harassed that artist so much, went in there everyday for like 2 weeks before my appointment and made sure he knew exactly what I wanted. It got to the point where I think I really aggravated him, hahaa. Luckily I am really happy with how it turned out.
HOWEVER...I am a little nervous because the next artist I am going to works in the same studio as him now...and it's going to be weird getting a tattoo from his competition...and having him touch up my old one..hehe.
But...he is the best known artist in this valley, possibly even more widespread than that. Hes absolutly amazing.

Me too...I am going to give him my ideas and let him work his magic, afterall it is his job...and he knows better than I. He has an amazing ability to see something and create the most amazing things from it...things I could never begin to picture, yet in 5 minutes he can whip out your idea on paper...and it is so much better than you could have even thought!
I am really looking forward to it. Luckily I completly trust him, and with all those ideas he is bound to come up with something absolutly amazing.
It helps also that he knows a bit of my personality.
