View Full Version : the only way marijuana will ever be legal

This stems from the Chris Rock theory of when drugs are legal and illegal. Chris says drugs are legal when they are made by white people in this country (USA). He says drugs are illegal when they are made by brown or black people in other countries. So following this perfectly logical assumption how are we ever going to make marijuana legal? Simple, keep on in the same direction we are going, have quality marijuana supplied by small time domestic grow ops rather than schwag from other countries. Once the public perception becomes marijuana is produced by middle class white people for middle class white people then and only then will the movement to make it legal gain real momentum. Argueing with the dumbshits about politics on any level is a waste of time. You can't tell them that when drugs are legal its the users fault for abusing it but when they are illegal its the drugs fault. The mass media propaganda machine is and will remain in the hands of the power elites. Instead of getting frustrated about it, just vote with your actions.

No. I really don't think that's why it's illegal and that certainly won't help make it legal at all. Do you think that the government thinks acid is made by poor mexicans? No. They know it's made by chemists. Where it comes from won't really change much.

Very good point.
I just think the government does not like certain drugs for some reason. I mean, people a lot of the time say that the reason weed is illegal is because the government can't tax it, because of what happened during the great depression ($100 dollar tax per pound). But if we utilized growing and harvesting equipment nowadays, then the government could easily make a killing off it.
Same with other drugs, especially harder to make ones.
I don't know if the government is just too stupid to think/do this, whether or not they want to seem like hypocrites (war on drugs to legal government drugs would look bad) or if they just personally don't like drugs, and deny the facts.

There is only one problem.. The theory is racist and stupid.
I've just came to the realizion that weed will NEVER become legalized. The drug is so propaganda rittled. The US just isn't gonna let people get high for fun.

EVER though?
I just, really can't imagine it not being legal like, thousands of years from now. That would just be so absurd. I mean, people always think of the future and stuff with like, hover crafts and what not. I would like to think that when we are that advanced then we will not be dumb enough to have drugs illegal still.

haha...especially with that attitude :(
Marijuana will be legal...made legal by people with the same attitude as me. I'm not a criminal for not wanting to have a hangover...or liver disease..or cancer..or have my brain cells destroyed..and most importantly..I don't want to risk my life to feel good. Which is why I smoke only marijuana. The laws are wrong, and they will get changed.

Acid comes from my poor uncles bathtub man. Not chemists.
Also, taking legal advice from comedians isn't what I would advise.
Weed WILL be legal, eventually. At the moment the governments are the same old generation that think all drugs are evil. As soon as the younger generations come into power it will be legal, although sadly, i fear many bad drugs will be too. The point is, eventually, it WILL be legal, our job is to make that sooner.
The only reason they wont legalise now is because they been in power all these years lying to everyone they meet, if they legalised it now, they'd look like the idiots they truely are. People wouldnt vote. That would be the end. When the new Presidents/PM's come into power, they wouldnt have ever lied to people, they will tell people the truth, and hopefully run our countries how they are meant to be run.

dude marijuana will never be legalized because its a non-taxable item, even though weed was a huge hit back in the day.

How is it non taxable? The govt knows how to tax anything. If it is legalized it could be govt grown and sold in pharmacies. Who knows for sure, but everything is set up in order to make money.

Weather it can be taxed or not is beside the point. It will be legal eventually. Hold me to it... coz im positive.

nah i was sayin the reason why right now its illegal is because its non-taxable, as in people can grow it where ever they want for free. im sure the goverment will finally realized pot its shared by everyone and that everyone is gettin high it will be legalized.

Cool.
They have to realise it's a plant, and therefore, can be grown by anyone, anywhere. It always has been and always will be. Eventually they're going to realise they cant control it, no matter how hard they try. Then they'll be forced to legalise it.
They're making more problems for themselves by keeping it illegal.

Honestly I don't care if marijuana is illegal until the year of 3029 I'm still gonna use it for as long as I live . Btw your theory won't work :p.

theres tax on tobacco and the goverment are makin a killin from that but people can just grow there own they choose not to. same with alchohol. however as soon as weed hits the shops and gets a bit cheaper more people will choose to buy it from shops. the point of growin is its the only way to have it but its much easier just to go to the shop, i no growins fun but it will be like that
The illegal drugs are the ones that you don't need a corporation to manufacture in order to use. LSD, cannabis, cocaine..all of these can be created without corporations, therefore there's no incentive to make them legal. Our government is run by corporations, for corporations, so legalizing cannabis does not serve their interests.

The only way weed will be made legal is if people become more active about it. Talk is easy, but when it comes to taking actual action, this is where we fail bad. Its slows the movement down when we all want it to be legalized but only a small handful are actually out there collecting signatures and trying to change the law. We all must push at once as one and our voice will be heard.

Actually I don't think marijuana will ever be legal, but I like Chris Rocks 's argument. This nation is a pack of dumbshits that will always be manipulated by the rich and powerful that own and shape the media. Laws just protect the stupid from themselves or the sneaky from the rest of us. Not even one percent of the laws on the books do what are our founding fathers intended them to do, which is to protect our freedoms. I'm a stone cold radical that has a very pessimistic view of things to come. I don't want to infect you young idealists, I hope I'm wrong.

Here you are a bunch of dedicated stoners and the goverment has successfully bullshitted you that marijuana use in this country is decreasing or has decreased from an all time high way back yonder in the seventies or eighties. Oh really, well isn't that interesting, NORMAL reports marijuana busts in this country have doubled since 1992 and are still increasing at ten to fifteen percent a year. I guess this means that stoners are getting dumber and the cops are getting smarter, right? I mean what else could account for a steady increase in marijuana busts if the actual marijuana use is going down. One pro marijuana study just can up with these stunning numbers; domestic marijuana production is up to 35 billion a year, the sum total of this 2 million pounds of marijuana a year. Yessirrebob weve passed corn and wheat combined and I for one think we are not producing enough! The clamouring masses want more! More! I give my word as the nitepharmer I won't rest until we pass automobiles and pharmaceuticals. God bless the cash economy and yankee ingenuity. Follow me boys to the outdoor growing page where I personally will instruct the teeming masses how you too can grow your own organic cash machines. Yes! That's right! Free money for everybody!
