No. The janitor isn't JD's dad. I'm not sure I've ever heard of his kids, but JD's dad is the guy from Threes Company. John Ritters character. Some crappy salesman that travels a lot.

I didn't get into that show until the past year or so and while they tend to be overly dramatic at times, the show it quality :)
