Hey whats up everyone, ive been looking at the posts here for a while but never contributed myself, but now im on my third grow and thought id share. my two previous grows were IMO very successful, each time i planted two seeds and one was female so im battin .500. On to current events my space is normal closet size, my equipment is x3 27w 5000k cfls, x1 32w 2700k cfl, x1 105w 6500k cfl, and x4 32w 6500k fluoro tubes, during flowering i have a 400w hps that i will throw in as well, also i have two fans for venting and one that oscillates, i have 3 1 gallon square pots and 1 2 gallon round pot filled with scotts seed starting soil with phosphurus, my nutes are miracle-gro 24-8-16 for veggin, and vigoro bloom builder 10-52-10 for flowering, im still waiting for germination and will update regularly, but for now enjoy the pics and ur comments/questions are welcome.

just a suggestion, i would put more of the stem in soil. It increases root production, which is definitely a factor when it comes to output.

either way, good luck w/ the grow.. i'll be watchin it!

are you going to cover the carpet with something? or leave it how it is

I applied my 10-52-10 solution for my flowering plants and they enjoyed it, looks like you know what you're doing and I'm guessing you're going to have a good harvest in a few months

aloha everyone, well its day 4 and i have a new seedling, i thought the seed was a dud so i set it aside in the pot and whaddya know the little soldier sprouted, so know i have 4 fairly healthy seedlings, i am a tad worried about the positioning of my cfls , it seems the seedlings are asking for more light, i am contemplating getting a metal halide for my next grow because i dont think my cfls are enough for the number of plants i want to have, yesterday i watered them with 1/8 strength dyna-gro 7-9-5 to give them a little kick start, only water from now on until about 10-15 days from now. i dont have measuring tape right now but i would guess they are around 2 inches. my next update will be at day 10 as i have much to do, until then feel free to comment.

can you position the lights directly above the seedlings?

hello all, well its day 11 and the kids are looking decent, i noticed some yellowing of the leaves so when i watered them a few days ago i gave them 1/2 strength miracle-gro. the first pic is of the baby, i think shes smaller cuz i have one 5000k bulb and one 2700k bulb on her, and the rest have all 5000k, anyway notice the leaves curling upward and also at the tips there is some yellowing and burntness, any advice on what this might be would be helpful, id say shes about 3 inches maybe less. the second pic is of the middle child, i had two pics of her but one wont upload, ill try again later, notice these leaves are curling downward unlike the baby, theres also some browning spots on the leaves, im not too sure what this is all about any help would be great, id say shes about 4 inches. pic number 3 is the pick of the litter, the one i think will do best, her leaves are fine with no curling but there is some spots like the rest (see pic 4), the leaves on her are huge for her age i think although i believe shes the same height as the middle child. i have all of them on a 20/4 light schedule, i water them every 2-3 days depending on the soil and i am planning on giving them 1/2 nutes every other watering. BTW undertheinfluence i took your advice and positioned my lights more directly over the plants which is why im having such growth i think  . i hope you guys are enjoying the thread as much as i am and hopefully i will get lots of comments :D . my next update will be in a week or so until then farewell and happy tokin. :rasta:

as for the yellowing, i would add some K and N to the mix.
check the ph.
make sure temps dont reach above 86 F at any time.
it looks to me like the leaves in pic. 1 are reaching up to the light.
and if you dont already have one, i would buy a grow bible, they come in handy in diagnosing your plants.
:greenthumb:

they are looking great though!
hope something i said helps.
happy growing!

long time no see, well now i have only 2 because one turned male on me, hopefully these will have better luck, the first one is about 1ft with the other one a little behind, i am running my 400w hps, 4-32w 5000k, 1 27w 5000k, and 1 32w 2700k. i started them on 12/12 and vigoro bloom booster yesterday. i would appreciate any advice on the close up pic, male female or too early to tell?
