The bowl I mean. Like, when do you consider it done? When theres nothing left in the bowl? When you don't think theres another hit in it? When all you see is ash?

I'm just curious. I usually try to burn everything in the bowl up, but sometimes when you can only see ash you can get fat hits for awhile.

when theirs nothing left in the bowl. If its a bubbler or bong then ill just hit it till the ash sucks through. but if its a bowl i might let that last half cashed hit go. I hate sucking through ash.

I don't like to suck ash through on my bubbler, I don't want a ton of stuff getting stuck in it. plus half-burnt weed sometimes gets stuck through (oh man the sarah silverman show is on in 30 min!)

^ i do the same shit but good thing with my bowl is even if it does fireball i never really get anything in my mouth, but i try to use bowls only when i don't have a blunt or joint paper don't got to worry about that shit with them :jointsmile:

I usually don't pack much, hit it till it's black, then pitch it and re-pack.....I hate that burnt ash taste, I also clean out my peices weekly keeps the taste fresh.

And I do the same thing. Except sometimes if I've already been smoking and I can't tell I'll push it down lightly, and if its solid and I know its not just solid ash I keep hitting.

i move the ash around, and when all i see is gray, its safe to say you can put it away

i usually smoke till all i can see is black/grey, then i blow out som of the ash on the top and kind of stir the rest around until i uncover some less burnt stuff. Then once its all black again it's dead.

lol i stick my lighter or finger in the bowl, i always had trouble telling if a bowl was cashed or not and i think in my early years of smoking i probably threw out some still-burning bud because i just didn't know. It's cashed if when you stick your finger in the bowl you dont feel anything hard in it at all, its just all grey-white ash. if you think it might be, take a pen or something and stir the bowl and see if it helps

i push the ash down, when i know theres SOME bud left, so theres 1 or 2 more GOOD strong hits left. try it, conserves weed.
