This is just a quick GENERAL QUESTION about plants.

I sprouted a little seed i found in a bag of really decent weed. I put it into a plastic bag w. water and hung it in a sunny yet invisible spot inside my house. So its been like 2.5 weeks and its still just a seedling and ive been jostling it around so it probably isn't healthy (its bright green and growing still tho) and i was just thinking about how it can't grow in water alone right?



So whats the best fert.? I was thinking and i was gonna add some dirt to the water but then i thought of the possibility for problems.

so i had an idea. if a seed has all it needs except water to grow then wouldn't the meat of a seed have all the nutrients a plant needs? So what if you collect a ton of seeds, grind them up and use that as a growing nutrient?

The reason i want to know is that i HATE chemical nutes, they make the weed taste different and pop and crackle when smoked (who knows what burning those chems do to your lungs) and the best all-natural fert is poop, which sucks to have to use because its poop.

and i didn't really ask if plants would grow without water. in fact i think just about 99% of people know that.

There is a plant that grows on air and water tho. so not all plants need dirt or ferts!

seeds ground up and left to decompose would in effect be compost... So I believe it could be used in that form...

im not talking about composting the seeds, because that would metabolize the chemicals present in the seed which is what im trying to utilize.


A seed uses ambient water and the "meat" of the seed to start the plant, so i was just wondering if this meat could be used instead of dirt, fert, and nutes. You would think that it would be better than ANYTHING out there, because the seed evolved to be a self sustaining life source, just add water.

See what i mean? If you took that meat from 10k seeds and put it all in a pot and put the seedling in there it would thrive like no other right?

it seems inpracticle to use seeds as fert, they dont have the proper balance of nutes you need throught the entire grow, they only have what they need for the first 20-30 days.

And using not organic chemicals is fine, the taste is different but your supposed to flush your plants before you harvest so all the chemicals break down and leave the system.

You can just use organic nute, 90% of the bud you hav probably smoked used chem nutes. I use organics cuase there sweet tasting buds oh yeah.

People grow with out soil all the time, hydroponics.
The seeds will not have all the nutes you need
the amount of seeds you would need is to large
u can buy organic veg and bloom ferts for 30 bucks
use just water
and thats where u get your boom in growth.
