Yo, I've dowloaded Limewire, WinMX, and shareaza, and I've found that Limewire is the better of them, by alot. I used to have kazaa media desktop but I think it fucked my shit up. Shareaza has a smooth layout but yeilds little results, and winmx is to slow and very old but has many results, limewire is fast with a smooth layout and yeilds a number of results. I remmber Kazaa having many more files then all of them tho. Is kazaa light safe? or what file sharing software do you use?

oh, Filesharing doesnt really cost the musicians much money at all, and really seems like a form of advertising, I fileshare but I but alot of cds. Downloading songs is sort of like getting a real sample of something, so I can be like "woah that band is sweet" then run out and buy a cd rather than wait for a video to come on mtv or something

dont feel guilty if youre poor lol, and yea limewires the best, kazaa has the most files because 80% of them are viruses, and kazaa itself has so much spyware that it will destroy your comp so go with limewire

whenever someone goes "hey you have to hear *insert song name*" i go and try to download it on kazaa.. then when its finished its like 16 minutes long, with no sound.. so i keep trying and it keeps happening.. and the ones that r the right length come up with this Acquiring License thing and dont play either.. so i give up.. it sucks lol :p

I use Sharazza I work when it wants to. It sometimes has trouble connecting to the network. I get a lot of results but it could be better

I use kazaa, I have virus protection so anything i download is searched for virus's if one is found it is deleted. Kazaa has never gave me problems.

Bittorrent is by far my favorite file-sharing system, though a broadband connection is pretty much a necessity. You download entire albums at a time music/wise. So there is no single song downloads unless its a huge hit single. Download the ABC bittorrent client ((google it)) and go to http://www.suprnova.org and download to your heart's content.

Limewire is full of spyware, hate to tell ya, and kazaa is just pure crap now. Go with Bittorrent as mentioned before me or if you want to stick with a p2p networking, go with morpheus. It has shitloads of items and barely any have any viruses or spyware... it's so much better than Kazaa, WinMX, Limewire, and all that other shit... give Morpheus a shot. :D

Ares Lite has been the best gnutella network ((the network that limewire..kazaa...etcetera)) program I have found. Though between MIRC and Bittorrent I hardly ever use it. Edonkey/Emule is great for finding rare files and bootlegs, but it's sluggish. And you can't really get K-Lite K++ anymore. Not the real one anyway. The new one wants money or has spyware or something. The old one was great though.

scratch what I just said about kazaa lite

I took your advice, downloaded ABC bittorent, and went to that website.. I just downloaded a whole album in about 5 minutes.. it was going at a rate of like 50 kb/s.. i dunno if thats good or not, but considering the most i get using eDonkey2000 is about 10 kb/s and the most on kazaa is about 20 kb/s.. so yea, its an improvement.. plus i dont have to waste time searching for crap.. that site rocks.. cheers man :):)

ive used kazza,and kazza lite,,i call them pop up and stop up.
limewire works great for me,(shiity dial up connection)but ive learned that it needs a few things set to work good,
You must create your own Folders to Share and Save Files ,a folder you keep empty of files after you download them,or they will be listed as Shared and your bandwidth is used up,(you will see what i mean if u allow uploads)
which brings me to that,
go and set it so you have '0' slots '0' uploads, and nobody can upload a file untill you want them too,
for one it wont be in your share file
and two they wont have a slot to hook up too


people with good connections dont half to worry,only those with crappy dial up like mine need to set things like that ,LIMEWIRE is great,file sharing is great,id have no problem listing hundreds of songs to share if it wouldnt not for all practical purposes shut off any downloading for me,(uses up the 26.4 kbps i have)
anyway,thought id add that ,in case others wonder why they have such slow downloads,set it to 1 at a time,and its faster too,the rest will start as others finish

i'll have to agree with ya man nothin beats bit torrents... another fantastic program is azureus www.azureus.com (http://www.azureus.com)
Also another great site for d/ling bit torrents(mainly movies) is www.isohunt.com (http://www.isohunt.com) Check em out!!!

I recently dowloaded Ares Galaxy and it has been working amazingly well with very fast dowloads and no spiked songs so far (songs that go EEEEEEEEEE in the middle of them because of governmnet bullshit) I plan to use ares a little more than limewire now. I got bittorrent but i havent gone to supernova yet due to my web router constantly deciding to reem me in the ass becuase it amuses it. I have a cable connection that I can barely afford but is DEFINITLY worth having. Morpheus wasn't given to good of a reveiw on CNET, but CNET is full of communist-capitalist liers who give the items that sponser them (spyware killer >_< ) good reviews and ratings even tho they are full of spyware and such. I don't know how I feel about dowloading an entire album but if it takes only 5 minutes or so....Man I always start ranting and turn a simple post into a long, incoherent pile of anger. It will never stop.

if ya can sedater18 change ur tcp listening port through ur d/l programs options to 49160 (or above) most isps hammer the usual port 6090 which inturn slows ur d/l's down even more. they do it so they dont lose too much profit from us d/ling huge amounts...
