Ok...I understand that I need to wait until my tricomes are milky white with some amber in it to harvest. Although I also understand that I need to flush my plants 5-10 days before harvest. How do I know when to start flushing if my tricomes are not milky white/amber yet? I dont want to flush too early or too late.

Any suggestions

I'm going to go by this: http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-faqs/25001-when-harvest.html

Ultimately it's going to be a best guess scenario as to when to flush in relation to where your sample average of tric's is.

I'd say when they're not yet to the percentage you want, get flushin' since they'll keep maturing as you go, even after cut.

This will be my first time trying it this way, so thats what I'm gonna do.

You can flush when they get that way...one more week won't hurt a thing. you are right on track...good Luck

That is easer then you think.

What you look for is when you see your first amber trichome (if you have not stoped already stop feeding N now at this point.) you are about 10 days to 2 weeks to harvest for most strains. As you have posted this in hydroponics then you have it easer. You can use a product like florakleen from GH or Final phase from Advanced or clearX to flush your plants in 3 to 5 day's. When you see about 5% amber in your field of view with a 30x pocket microscope then you start your flush. The 5 days at max it takes they will be perfect.

Here is an FAQ on flushing

listen to these guys, i ussually dont flush becuase i use organics, but i still flush 2-3 days before harvest with distilled water. And i flush when i see all hazy tricomes. It depends on what kinda high your plant produces and what strengths your looking for, they color has some relevance to body head high and inbetween, the hazy color is ussually inbetween but alot go for the sative high where your tri's should be mostly amber. Most ppl who have a select strain take samples at different harvest times to see what high there really going to get.

Not botonicare products thats for sure... they used to clog up my drippers, so i switched to a jet like system with holes in a 1/2 inch tube with a 350gph pump, work bueatiful and they dont clog, a panty hose around the pump helps too.

If you want to see a really good organic botanicare grow...use a bubbler with about 4 airstones!!! and bubble the Hell out of that gook...I know, I love PBP, and the entire line of btanicare, but it pales in size to 3-part yield.

Anyway, IN a bubbler you could really take advantage of the organics, and grow a big one...I think!
