Your old username pwns this one.
So you're saying "On second thought, I think I'll go back to using my original name like my good friends at Cdot advised me." Right? ;)
w4terb0ng > on second thought

HEY! I was gonna switch my name to that. Guess I will have to think of something else.

actually, on_second_thought has been a name i've used on several other sites. i just got tired of the name w4terb0ng. figured since it had been so long since i've been on here, i'd start fresh again with a new name.

Why switch names? Who cares and what difference does it make? Maybe next time think a little bit longer when filling out the sighn up form.
Edit.
Ok that is a decent enough reason.

Yeah, not only why the name switch, but why the public announcement saying you've switched? :wtf:
This isn't starting fresh ya know. Now people still know who you were.
On top of that, it just makes more work for the mods if everyone creates a new account because they're tired of the old one. Like JE said, think a little bit longer.
In any case, glad to see you came back, left, then came back as a new name that really isn't that new because we still know it's you...

ok well, like i said, i wanted a new name. and the fact that it may or may not make it hard for mods to keep up with stuff...well, i'm not sure that i care. if everyone were given the option to delete their account in the first place, it wouldn't happen. i posted saying that i had changed my name so that the people that DID remember me, or that i've talked to previously would know it was me. i just got tired of the name.

Like they said in feedback, there is a very good reason why accounts don't get deleted.
Sometimes I really feel bad for the mods here. People don't listen, don't care, and only think about themselves. Granted I doubt it added much work, but if you can't see the reason why accounts aren't deleted after it has been spelled out to you...

jesus christ. forgive me for not reading up on that. i don't read every single word that's posted on this site. if you're going to get upset or complain because i changed my name..... well, you do that. i don't care. i don't care why they do or don't want to delete accounts. the fact is i wanted a new one. so i made it. that did not interfere with you or your account, so why say anything other than welcome back, or nothing at all? now surely, when they created this place (and decided not to let people delete accounts) they realized that things like this would happen. so what is there to bitch about? :stoned:

Calm down, I just assumed that you would have checked up on your own thread where it was explained to you.

LOL, everyone take a deep breath and CHILL..
Like I said, it is usually frowned upon for existing users to create a new account because "they didn't like the old one." That's generally not a good enough reason, ya dig? It's clearly stated that users are not to do this, so be thankful you're here pal..
Glad to know you care about the work the mods do around here, too.
Take it easy. ~

what a warm welcome back. :D
i could kinda understand the whole thing about rep points... but i wasn't even aware of them. there was no rep points last time i was here. and as far as not deleting things because of informational purposes i can see as well. but being as since none of the posts i ever made were really all that serious or informational in any way, shape, fashion, or form... well.. that's why i said what i said. i'm not saying i don't appreciate the mods and their jobs. it just seems a bit ...dare i say... communist to tell me that i can't destroy something i created. i mean how many more smokers, growers, etc do you think will register and post on these boards over the years? if you lose one, what's the deal? or a hundred even. i mean, it's a constant cycle here. people leave, people join. there's always going to be information available from a wide variety of people and perspectives. maybe i was a bit more "i don't give a fuck" about it than i had planned, but i was just stating my opinion. i'm allowed to have that. right?

We do not delete users and their posts. This trashes the continuity of threads.
If you sign up here, it is clearly stated that you will not be able to delete your posts. They become the property of the forum. What a mess we would have if we did that. Not to mention the work involved. Nothing Communist about that at all. You're a guest here, as am I, as is everyone...
You're most certainly entitled to your opinion, as we all are, but just understand why the mods feel this way on things like this. If everyone and their grandma wants to get a new user name just for the fun of it, this creates a lot of extra, unnecessary work for the mods.
Here's a WARM welcome back, too. :joint1: Just no more "second thoughts" on users names, okay? :o

ok look. the more i think about it, the more sense it makes. though, i didn't just do it for the "fun of it". i may not care to share ALL the reasons as to why i wanted to make a new identity. but that shouldn't matter. the fact is that i've done it. it's done. i don't plan on making another one. there were certain circumstances that will not be disclosed at this time. they have nothing to do with anybody here on the message boards. this is me now. this will be me until i leave the boards. no more name changing. alright?
thanks for the welcome back. :smokin:
time to smoke. :)

I'm the king at making people feel welcome. :D
Let me just say welcome back to the boards. Have fun with your new user name, I'm just a little resentful because I have always hated this one. But it is usually available when I register somewhere and I hate having to remember a bunch of different user names.
Take care.
