Just give them a proper watering and they'll do just fine. I had a similar situation this past summer and I was afraid for it, but when you come back you'll be happy with how big they are! pay more attention to the lights and heat.

give em a nice soaking prior to leaving, what stage of growth are you in? from veg until a few weeks into flower u can leave em for at least a few days after giving em a solid shower. i left my babies without water for 5 days when they first went into flower, no problems at all. had a friend stop by to make sure they wernt dry and everytihng was fine

i think they will be fine in that case, such small plants will hardly drink, and a couple of cfls wont dry out the soil quick either.

give them a good water before you leave and they will be ok.

I always use a plastic catch plate below my buckets as well as I use a soil additive (water-keep) and I water my veg stuff in 1 gallon pots every 9-10 days and my big gals in 5 gallon every 4 days. I never have any stress showing from lack of water!!! The best gauge is to look at the leaves for "droop" as this shows stress from lack of watering. I also never have a root rot problem!

when i water it, should i be focusing on pouring the water around the seed or should i water them evenly around the soil
