Foil Rockwool covers?

I am growing in 4" rockwool blocks. Would it be a bad idea to cut 4" squares of aluminum foil and place them on top of the rockwool blocks(with a hole in the middle for the stems)?

bad idea ,
prob. would control the algee growth but inturn alum. foil creates hot spots via. reflection .

You can also make one more perminate by using black pond liner or panda plastic with the white facing up is the best. :D
