Hey im just tryin to find the perfect light for growing up to 3 or 4 plants at one time so i dont have to grow 3 times a year.Right now i have only cfl's since im kinda on a money budget here but the cfl's kinda lower the yield of my plants so i was wondering wat the best light would be to grow 3 or 4 plants at one time n have excellent or even good yield without costing me a fortune. Thanks everyone

Define a fortune?

You can grow very nice plants using CFLs alone, just takes a lot of patience, moving the bulbs constantly so they are close to the plant. CFL's don't get as good a penetration as an HID lamp, so the buds don't tend to get as dense below the top.

get a 250 m.h,hps combie so you only change the bulb when flowering:jointsmile:

sure you can...you are doing it with cfl's now. but to grow three or four plants go with the old reliable 400wt mh

inside sun hydro harry's or your local hydro shop.

dont burn your house down. get a smoke detector and fire extenguisher just for your grow.

if you do not have plenty of free time to sit at home...stick with the cfl's or pay someone trustworthy to set your grow up.

How hard is it to set it up so it wont start on fire...cant u just plug it in and grow or having a fan on to cool it down er something becuase i dont really trust anyone and the people i do trust are to dumb to even know how to plug the light in.I wouldnt know becuase i have never used hps before only cfls but the yield with cfls are crap n i need more yield.

they were not dumb questions..i just do not know if you are capable of wiring up the light..ignitor ballast ect..just stick with cfl's unless you can handle the electric work and have the spare power in your box. do you want 120volt or higher..there is alot more to do besides plugging it in to a socket..more yield more oder..just think about it before you buy anything.the shops i mentioned are great talk to there people. when you get your eqipment come back to this thread.

O i figured all the wiring and stuff but i was looking at buyin a light that has the balast built into the metal housing and i guess all u have to do is screw the light in and plug it into a power source and yea i know more bud more odor but that dont matter since i ive way out in the middle of nowhere. But iunno ill look into it.thanks man
