I've read so many times about celebrities and political people that used to smoke marijuana back in the days but now when they are presented with a chance to legalize or decriminalize it they are voting against it. I cannot think of why, I mean wouldn't they know it's harmless from experience and people should not be in prison for it. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger smoked a lot of pot in the 70's and fucked prostitutes, and he voted against two medical marijuana bills. What gives?!

My dad is bi-polar or maybe has schizophrenia (will probally never find out since he refuses to go near hospitals) and had some bad experiences with weed. Although he was doing acid as well. He was put into a mental institution for months and when he was let out he quit the acid. He started smoking weed again but said that it caused effects similiar to acid and that he was starting to trip out while sober. Although he has now recognized that he is probally bi-polar and was probally having sypmtoms of psycosis. He also went to jail and juvey for weed. Oh and he got taken away from his mom. SO some people may have traumatizing experiences with weed.

OR ACID!! I think the fact your father is bi-polar is more than just a mere coincidence.

weed doesn't always end with happy stoners....weed DOES cause problems. maybe not for 99.99% of people on these boards, but some people have done it, and it caused problems for them, so they don't do it anymore, and don't want people going through the same problems as they did.

I would think politicians become part of the landscape and lose self worth...

they have walked through the valley of the shadow of death and come out the other side cleansed by the flames of righteousness. they know now that the sins of their youth shall be forgiven if only they embrace the power and the glory that is the straight and narrow path to salvation.

Well, as far as Arnold Schwarzenegger goes, you have to realize that he is having his balls tickled by the icy cold hand of the Republican Party. If he fucks up by helping out those damn pot-smoking hippie communists, it might stop tickling and rip the damn things right out of his body. Politicians don't care about such trivial matters as doing what's right, helping people out, and growing a sense of moral integrity; there are only two things that matter to them: money and power. And right now, it is in Arnold's political and financial interests to keep licking the Republican Party's asshole.
