So I'm breaking a couple of rules for a scrog grow. I'm not using clones and I'm using bag seed. My question is can I train them into the scrog screen after I've flowered them to show their sex? I wish I knew which ones are going to go butch on me. :s4: Ha ha...I can't believe this is one of the image options. Love it.

You can, but they may not be as pliable and you run more of a risk of breaking/hurting them. Not to mention by the time they show sex in 12/12 they have probably stretched a bit - reducing the effectiveness of the screen

Really isn't worth growing SCroG without clones. A couple plants might grow more or taller than the others and/or they might get all tangled up in the net by the time you discover the sexes.

if you have space to veg until they show sex from preflowers then you could start training the females in the screen however you will probably have to use a higher screen height than normal for a scrog but there really isnt no reason why you could not do a scrog from seed just takes longer.
you would also have the option of taking clones and flowering the clones in a scrog but it would add a few more weeks to your grow but using clones is a better option.

That's a pretty good SCroG done with clones.
Now take what he has and imagine half of all of that being male. It would be a disaster.

if each plant is in a seperate pot you build a screen for each plant and the ones that turn out to be male you pull andthat way you lose no time.

spankey is right, you do not have to use one big screen, but using smaller individual screens for each plant that will make one big screen when put together you can design your pots with the screen attached just for one plant so if you did train and find out it was a male you could pull the whole pot screen unit with the male from the flowering room.
the down side to that is that you may be training males and any training you did was just a waste of time, and it takes up more space and may not use up all the space available in the flowering room.
but a scrog can be done from seed its just going to be done a little different.

These are very good ideas. I think I am going to try the individual screen thing. As for training males...the way I see it, I'm in training as well. Any practice will be useful to me. Thanks :D

another idea is to just lst them all, and when males pop up you take them out and when u have finished the seperations you can put the screen down
