I'm trying to put together a cd of songs that sample old music...

i.e

Cypress- Hits from the bone, samples son of a preacher man... Eric Prydz Vs Floyd - Proper Education

suggestions?

The song Will Smith did for MIB was a sample. I can't remember who it was off hand, but shouldn't be too hard to find. He ruined it.

The Black Eyed Peas sampled Dick Dale's Miserlou, and ruined it.

I think Eminem sampled Aerosmith's Dream On. There wasn't much good about that one to ruin.

Em did a great job with the Aerosmith sample IMO...he produced the song himself and laid down some extremely strong and inspiring lyrics on it.

I can't think of any right now (I can think of sampled choruses but I think you mean samples in the beat)...but I will add a few when I do.
