Why are rep points removed if they were given in a thread that was later deleted? I looked for the sticky about rep points on the top of this board, seems like the obvious place, so no body bitch that this is staring me in the face. If it is I don't see it. :hippy: Yet more smilies, yeah.
Not to mention, I'm now very curious as to why it got deleted. The post looked about dead when I logged off last night, a few people including myself complained about the same legal bud question being asked over and over again.

Whatever, it doesn't really bother me, but it seems like rep should still stand for a post that was deleted. I mean it was still something you said on this site at one time despite if it was positive or negative.
It isn't something that is worth rewriting program over. I was just curious about it.

It is inherent in the system... once it is deleted the system does not know any more... I think you have to bring your argument to vbulletin,,,the boards creator...

Haha, yeah as I said, it isn't that big of a deal to go through all that. I was just curious. The odd thing is I don't think it actually subtracted the points added, it looks like it just deleted the comment.
Granted I didn't commit the number to memory, but it doesn't look like it changed much.

Let me play devils advocate here... if the thread was an infraction then all post to it become an infraction???
BTW I posed the question at vbulletin,,, I think it being a commercial site I can not post the link here bu,,,if they reply I will reitterate the reply here...

Let me argue for the sake of arguing. :D
If the initial thread wasn't a violation but only certain posts, than all posts prior to all the infractions shouldn't be considered in that group. Granted with the post in question, mine was prob part of the reason it got deleted. I didn't see anything bad when I left, but a bunch of people pretty much kept saying the same thing about searching the site first.

I read it as in your interpretation too,,,it gets sticky so perhaps the best solution is to delete all aspects of the thread,,,who wants to be the arbitrator in a case like this???

Do you see the scales? It is in the green bar where the date is in every users post. Right above where it shows the post count, country, etc. Click on the scales, select either aprove or don't approve and click submit. Than it should say something like thanks for leaveing reputation for this user.

i see the scales, but it doesnt say approve or dissaprove when i click them.

another question, (sorry for being so noobish) is how do i make a new thread?

It should open in a new box... I don't know why it isn't working. To start a new thread just click the link at the top of each board that says "new thread. It is just above where it begins listing all the threads in that board.
