So this is great news to my ears. i heard it on my satellite radio the other day that the Smashing Pumpkins are getting back together for a few concerts and will most likely go on a North American tour afterwards.
SO WHOS STOKED ON THIS AS MUCH AS ME!!!! :hippy:

It's been known for over a year that they're getting back together. The real question is...who's in the band? I was in a studio a while ago, and one of the engineers told me the Smashing Pumpkins had been recording there a few weeks ago. I asked who's in the band, and he said only Billy and Jimmy were at the studio...that was no help at all, because they're the obvious ones.

Actually, Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin are the only two returning for this new "Pumpkins" album/tour. James Iha (guitar) and D'arcy Wretzky (bass) are not coming back.

Calling this an official "reunion" seems off, mainly because Billy's been releasing albums since before this announcement, and even some with Jimmy.

To me, this is cashing in, but at the same time, Billy and Jimmy were the driving forces creatively behind the band, so it's like half a smashed pumpkin.

It just feels weird calling them the Pumpkins, ya know? :wtf:

How are you positive who's in and who's out? Even with out James or D'Arcy, I don't give a fuck. Billy and Jimmy are the only two with talent from the band, which is what was their demise in the first place.
