Has anyone here done a grow with nothing but 105-200 watt cfls? I am planning on using 2 (6500k) 125 watt cfls@(9,200 lumens each) for veg and when flowering time comes I want to use 2 (2700k) 200 watt cfls @(11,000 lumens each). I would like to do 8 plants. I plan on retrofitting an old flourescent 48" shop light to contain the two bulbs, since each bulb is 14" long. I am going to chop off 10 inches off the shop light cause its too long to fit my box. Then i will attach two light sockets to the fixture, one at each end. Any ideas. Yeah i could go with an HPS but that would take the fun out of experimenting with these CFL's...LOL. I see everyone using a gang of 26 watters. Why not just go for 2 of the bigger brighter bulbs instead of 8 or 10 of the 26'ers? Sorry, my area of grow is 20"W by 40"L, height is adjustable up to 56"H

I'm using only big cfls. I have 4 x 200w cfls. 2 are red spectrum 2 are blue. Only using 1 blue for the 2 plants growing atm, less than 2 weeks old but thriving at the moment. These lights are huge by the way, I don't know if I can fit all 4 in, but I have a 400w grolux hps thing if I need it.

melon you may have to construct one yourself, thats what i will have to do..ill probably chop a shop lite in two so i can separate them evenly inside the cabinet oe do like invision did and get a small metal garbage can and chop it in half vertically then put my sockets in and voila...
