So I've acquired some t8 fixtures and bulbs and have searched this forum for over an hour and not found any good answers. If you use them or know a great deal about them please reply so that I and others might learn.

I'm just about to start a grow of 5 plants from seed and was just going to use my 1000wMH/HPS for veg/flower. I was hoping to cut down on the wattage and use these t8's just for the veg. I'll answer a question many of you will ask, I'm using a 1000w for only 5 plants because I had to start all over, and these 5 will produce my much needed clones for a larger grow. Thanks for any info.

I use T8's as side lighting with T5's as the main light for my mothers and a plain T8 for my clones. Works fine but I probably wouldnt use T8's for a entire veg. Good Luck and happy growing.

F32T8 lamps are great. Very efficient, very economical to buy fixtures and lamps. You can get 3000K for flowering and 5000K or 6500K for vegging for less than $3 a tube. Check out my current grow. I use 2-T8 tubes for the tops and 4-T5s for the side lighting. Really decent results, imo.

Thanks for the input Doco and Shovelhandle! I was going to use 2 8ft t8s and 4 4ft t8s to veg.

trick is to keep as much of the lamp as close as you can to the plants.
