Looks yummy, but teach your photographer how to focus! :)
I am building a hydro setup to give it a try in a few weeks here - the GH waterfarms are a DWC type right?

from seeing the Blueberry myself I totally understand why you took the hoods off and mounted the bulbs in between the plants. It's soooooo tall.
So all-in-all, i guess they turned out good yielders w/o the "forearm" colas. good.

Nope, drip ring. You can put a stone in the bottom of them too though, which is recommended but not at all necessary.
waterfarms kick ass, fwiw. I would buy the 'kit" and use round buckets, though.

Man, whata site. Makes my mouth water.
I concur with the water farms. I run them and a rainforest. i would get the controller unit as well, its a pain to drain/refill all those individuals. yes, i use airstones too!
I am a few weeks away from harvesting my skunk, wish me luck.

hey budluv ,
i was suprised w/ the yield to say the least man .
looks can be decieving , while manicuring we bet on yield per plant w/ b/b -n- i was figuring maybe 5-6 oz. ea. -- this stuff is denser than i thought 10-10-11 oz. each. plants ended up about 8-10 in. taller than in this pic. 4 plant total yielded 48 oz. on the button . Latewood is right 3/4 lb. is easy w/ waterfarms -n- buckets .
running the lights dwn the center like this kept the undergrowths progression right up w/ the top of the plants . there were no underdevoloped bottom nugz and no 2 part harvest this way . you just gotta spin plants everyday this way - n- hell yes use round buckets folks . waterfarms square design is just stupid stupid stupid .:cursing: piss on picking them up to spin em . we've already modified em for the next grow . i'll post a pic. of new super / farm design soon .
were currently waiting on beans from GSA - nexus , the church , and sour nl x nev. haze . gonna grow a moma plant -n- Stinkys coachin me w/ her clonin for dummies 101 program . thanx sis !!

I use a 100x pocket micro scope . One w/ a lil stand and slides .
This is the longest i've let em go yet . I'm an impatient person by nature , but Sky warned me it's close to a 10 week strain . There were like 10 hermie flowers on b/b and mongrel both . So theres prob. like 80-100 fem. f2's of each ??? cough cough cough . You still got a cpl. of the mix you were talking about . lol .

So its 2 buckets stacked, using hydroton or something to have the roots anchored I imagine? The top bucket is a mesh/has drainage holes in it and its a constant drip ring system, with an airstone in the reservoir - so excess "drippings" go back into the reservoir? Do the roots actually ever extend down into the reservoir itself?
When feeding, do you feed it a fresh reservoir of food once a week, then top it off daily/as needed with ph'ed water to maintain a level? Or do you top it off with nutrient solution, changing the nutrient strength as the weeks go by?
Sorry if this is the wrong place for these questions, just been toying with the idea of trying hydro, and this seems like a great system to work with

No prob. tokudai ,
top basket holds about 2 gal. hydroton . bucket inside a bucket theory . I've set mine up to recirculate , but yes drippings go bk into the bottom half of res. i top off w/ only p/h'd water no nutes . <- who knows what plants already used up ? - you don't know exactly what to add bk. to res. so i chg. res once every week to 10 days . heres a cpl. pix. for the rest go/to bluebears waterfarm / DWC club thread theres tons of info there .

X-C I forgot to drill holes in my set-up before this grow and am seeing the same problems I did before with the roots clogging things up. I had the brilliant idea that when I removed the males i drilled holes in those 3 waterfarms and (must have been completely stoned at the time) and was thinking of switching them....like transplanting!! Needless to say that idea didn't go far, lol. I was going to ask you to repost the pic of those waterfarm holes.....thanks. I have my drill ready BEFORE the next grow. :)

After only 1 run w/ the waterfarms i can safely say that NO i wouldn't have bought the whole system from them again . I'd just buy the driprings / coloum kits for 10.00 apiece -n- build my own . Budluv , Weedhound , Bluebear and myself have been finding the faults w/ the sys . itself and us folks who own actually run them are correcting them .
I only run 4 buckets , not all 8 . so the big ass pump G/H gives you is only run w/ the valves a 1/4 of the way open . lotsa omph left in em . we added an extra airline dwn the PVC drip coloum and added a T up top . now we have 6in. airstones in the bottom of the res. to reap the benefits of DWC .
Also were now using a 3 gal. round bucket inside a 5 gal. bucket so plants can be spun w/o being picked up , and gained an extra gallon of hydroton up top .
Here's pics. of what were gonna try next time around .
Peace all

What the hell you going to grow in that thing X-C? A 200 foot redwood? Actually a friend of mine made pretty much the same thing and has a couple of them in her spare bathtub. Looks like it can hold some GOOD roots there. I told her your unknown comic story but she's still going to try several plants in one bucket anyway.

Hey Hound ,
Gonna grow some crazy crazy bushes in them i hope . They'll have very happy root systems . I still have my lil L&M 6-plant sys. that nonsense happend in w/ the u/k comic . lol . Some ppl. won't listen Hound , they gotta learn the hard way ? We ripped all the drip stuff off that 10gal. 6 plnt tub and added airstones to it . We have clone cabinet built and will flower em in that 10 gal. DWC tub in a 250w hps. c-13 cabinet . Once we've found strains that make us happy we'll clone em and try out the new bucket design .
I caught you'r thread about outdoor help and i dont have much to offer . I only grew a cpl. once outside Hound . I'm in mich. n seasons so short stuffs usually dyin by halloween . 3-12 ft. sativas behing my garage -n- some bastard stole em . lol . big balls w/ Loki -N- Geezer around . One of the new strains i ordered is mostly sativa , try something dif. see if i have the patience for a 13-15 wk. strain .

Well I laugh but the hubby and I had to take a drill last night; hold up the plants and drill holes in the bottom of my flowering females because they pretty much had slowed their growth to a crawl and I could not figure out why. Figured I'd either cure them or kill them and they took a 2 inch jump overnight so they aren't dead. One of the reasons we chose the waterfarms was to "grow large vegetables" with so the fact that they are getting rootbound surprised me but I guess it shouldn't. Wish I had remembered to drill holes BEFORE I planted this group. (or gotten bigger tubs like that one....or both) :D

NO ONE SHOULD BE AFRAID OF HYDRO, IT'S EASY. GET A 3 IN 1 METER AND WATCH YOUR PPM TO SEE IF THE PLANT IS EATING OR DRINKING THEN ADD WATER/NUTES ACCORDINGLY I.E. 1/4, 1/2, PH'D H2O..YOU GET THE IDEA. KEEP MAX NUTES AND HAVE MAX FLOWERS!
