Hey guys, I'd like to know what would be a good aprox range of number of plants that would effectivly grow with this light i might buy. Also, can I use this with a basic power outlet? How much will it add on to the bill monthly probably?

Thanks very much, here is the light specs:

1000 watt Metal Halide light system comes with an 8 year warranty on the ballast and electrical components and 1 year warranty on the bulb. This is Hydrofarm's low profile design with bright and broad spread of light. Comes with Hydrofarm Xtrasun econo ballast, ValuBrite Aluminum Wing reflector, socket assembly, hangers, and bulb.

Add On's: Sunlift hanging kit, 240 Volt power cord, Heavy-Duty Grounded Timer, Sunmaster warm Deluxe Upgrade Bulb.

really depends, you could just grow 1 large plant under it or 64 clones in a sog or somewhere in between like 1 plant per sq ft.
probably notice a 50 to 70 increase in your electric bill depending on your electricity cost and how many hours the light is on per day.
if it has a 240 volt cord it is probably desined to run on 240 but you can generally get them in 120 or 240 volt options suggest checking with whomever you purchase from, so you can get it wired for the voltage you need it in standard house outlets are 120 volt.
if your going to buy only one light and use it for flower and veg both would suggest a hps, would also recomend you get an aircooled hood or cool tube so you will be able to ventilate all the heat that these large lights produce from the grow room the cheaper wing reflectors are not that great.

I'll prolly grow 4 in a square shape, because it's a closet grow, works well for the light size.
