Any clue on this experience?

Alright, this happened a little while back, lemme explain a bit before the question:

Before my college (UC) started up (We begin late September), for the last few weeks of our summer (So September) I was buying off of one of my coworkers boyfriends... he was pretty chill, very stereotypical 18-year-old stoner type, goes to the same college as me (Although I'm at a branch campus)

Anyways, the first time I got weed off of him, I hadn't smoked in 6 days due to my schedule... so my friend rolled a big joint, and we smoked in my van. We had to wait for my friend to return from a Labor Day firework show, so we were just chilling...

Basically, I started tripping out, hard. I was laying my head on the steering wheel, and I felt as if my conscience shifted... up and left, it's hard to explain. It felt as if I was looking through a tube, everything seemed very far away. It felt as if I was completely melding into the steering wheel and the enviroment in general. After we had to begin to drive, I had a bit of trouble percieving the road, and normally I drive perfectly fine stoned. Luckily we didn't have to go far.

Wasn't the first time it happened to. The next time I got an 8th from him, I was smoking a couple hours before work... I took a few good rips from my bong, and started tripping hard again. I remember looking down into my bong, it looked kinda trippy seeing the design from the inside, and I started tripping hard... felt like I was melding into the enviroment again. I could seriously feel my head tingling, it was one of the coolest feelings ever.

So, that wasn't a short explanation... anyways, the thing is, this wasn't the highest quality weed ever. I mean, it wasn't schwagg, but I definitely get some stuff with more crystals now than it had. It was $20 and 8th, definitely high mids.

My question is, does anyone know what might have caused this? Other chemicals within the weed itself? Special growing technique? I'm also sure it wasn't laced, as it definitely still felt like a weed high and reminded me of a few hard trips I had as a beginner. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

This is very interesting because the same thing happened to me...sort of. I was smoking this okay weed. It wasn't the best quality but it was hardly schwagg. The trippy part happened when I was focusing hard on something. As I looked at it, everything in my periphreial (spelling) vision seemed to freeze and everything that I was looking at dead on was shaking back and forth. Everything (don't laugh) looked like they were made out of mickey mouse hands (the white glove part) haha.

umm no cuz its happened to me before also.. the part where he says "It felt as if I was looking through a tube, everything seemed very far away. It felt as if I was completely melding into the steering wheel"... well thats all happened to me.. i thought it was just the honey blunt that made me do all that crazy stuff cuz i never had one before but i guess not lol.. when it happened to me it was scary though lol.. my whole body like froze or something and it was TERRIBLE to the point where i was about to cry.. but never did..

When I am smoking some lower grade stuff my perception of what I anticipate the effects to be are not as strong as if I had some great bud. So you letting your guard down and when it hits you its going to seem much stronger in a sense.

When it comes down to it, marijuana is still a hallucinagin. Obviously no where near shrooms or Cid but nevertheless its still a mind altering substance and its affects are still amazing.

Ive had friends go to Amsterdam who are very experienced smokers and they told me they could compare there high to what it felt like to trip on shrooms.

No, I've had the same sort of thing happen with unlaced pot. I thought maybe it was the smoking method (I made a waterfall) or the length of time it had been since the last time I smoked. It was like, the 4th time I actually got high. But it has happened since with the same weed and different weed from the same person. I made a thread about it (Have you ever felt like your face was a spaceship?!). I kept getting 'stuck' and I would kinda slip in and out of a weird state. Like, I wouldn't pass out, but I would 'leave.' Things felt like the individual cells of a comic book, instead of continuous like a movie or real-life. I felt like I was melting off my chair at one point. Then I'd suddenly realize I was on my couch. I could talk, but then my thoughts would leave mid-sentence. It was crazy. I've had the tingling feeling too. Everything tingled except for my eyes and the area of my face right around them, kind of like I was wearing a zorro mask or something. I've had similar situations since I got my bong last month. Joints and pipes do not do that to me at all.
