Just weigh a bill. That should be 1.0.

I searched on Google and found this:

1 cent penny=2.5g's
Nickel=5g's
Dime=2.26g's
Quarter=5.6g's
Dollar coin=8.1g's

For any money bill, it weighs 1gram.

I found it here:
About The United States Mint (http://www.usmint.gov/about_the_mint/index.cfm?action%3Dcoin_specifications)

Hope that helps. :)

Dude your either not from america, or your scale is broken. Every CURRENT American bill weighs exactly 1 gram.

Sounds good for that price. Calibrate with a nickel if you are weighing larger amounts... or calibrate with a bill for smaller amounts.

Be cool. RastafarI.
