I recently got a new sherlock pipe and I've been using it a lot and the resin is really starting to build up now. What's the best/easiest way to clean it?

Alcohol/Salt mixture.
Pipe Cleaners(long ones).
....or...BONG BUDDY.

However..I bought one at my local smoke shop for 8$. It comes with a big one and a really tiny one for pipes. It totally rocks and it's easy to use and it's cheap! That is if you want a super clean piece...

Denatured alcohol and kosher salt - and don't wait 2 years between cleanings! ;) Don't waste time or money with the specialized cleaners or the bong buddy or any of that crap

Yep should have no problems with boiling it, although you may ruin the pan. Alcohol and salt works so much faster and better though, you don't even need the salt for a smaller pipe, just submerge it in Denatured Alcohol for ~ a min or two and then rinse with hot water - should be spotless

depends, if you wana get rid of the resin and not smoke it, the best way is alcohol/salt as it will eat away every last little bit.... but if you wanna save it, i have a sticky up above.

lmao, I had one pipe that I didn't clean for about a year. It had so much resin, you could light up an empty bowl and get a huge hit of resin everytime. One day, I had an epiphany and cleaned it.

I did that.

Took me hours to clean that biatch. I couldn't figure out why all my weed tasted funny!

lol, it tastes like complete shit. But hey if I was running low and wanted to save some, I turned to my bowl.

Mine was never completely cleaned! I did everything from isopropanol/salt solution, brushes, boiled it. Some of the resin is completely stuck forever.

quick i need help. im pretty new at this. i just got my first glass pipe today. its pretty kool i guess it will suit my needs. i need to clean it and im kind of confused. do i put water in a pot and boil the water then put alchohol and salt? or do i put the alcholhol and salt in room temp water and rinse with warm water? need help plz

You mix the salt and alcohol and soak the pipe in it then rinse.

For like 99 cents you can get a 16 oz bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol...

no i'm not kidding... i love getting resin... and personally, y ou can save me all the 'gross' arguments, cuz i've heard them all...

not to mention i'm a pack a day smoker... i'm not really concerned about my lungs, obviously.

i've seen quite a few people here that admit resin will get you high... and it will... it actually works very well for getting you high...

the only real negative side (if you take out possible health side effects) is the taste... that taste is horrible...

I honestly need to clean my pipe my self lol. It's very resinated now :(. I haven't had a clean hit since like the first few months that I bought the thing haha.

Duuuude, I just cleaned my bong and pipe with 91% isopropyl alcohol and pipe cleaners and it worked beautifully. I read on here to use salt too, but I had forgotten about that and it still worked great. I dipped the pipe cleaner in the alcohol and used it to rub the build up off, it worked great. Just pour a tiny bit in before using the pipe cleaner
