hi all. well the problem im having now is trying 2 clone my skunk#1 plants.
ive tried all sorts now short from putting them directly into coco.
ive been taking the cutting about an inch under an internode cutting at 45 degrees angle dipping into clonex then into rockwool soaked in clone start then placed into a heated propagator and then put under 110w cool tube clone light n misted daily. wat ever has contact with the rockwool rots n go all soggy n mushy.
we have also tried same process using rhizotonic instead of clonestart n same thing results?????????????????
could any 1 please give me some tips 2 getting the best clones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG????????????????
would u suggest putting the cuttings directly into coco?
any replys gratefully received thx........

i took cuttings last night from my jackherers, sounds like your doing everthing right apart from cutting an inch below nodes try cutting just below the nodes make sure you put at least one set of nodes in the rockwool, and did you flush your mothers before you took cuttings they root better with low N and more carbs i dont know if this will help but i always get 85%-95%,good luck mate keep us posted on how you get on peace.:S5: :S5: :S5:

Are you soaking the rockwool the night before or the day of? And how long are you waiting before you conclude they aren't rooting(could take up to 3 weeks) and areyou pulling them out of the rockwool all the time to check(light doesn't do well with roots).

well rockwool doesnt permote alot of growth, best resluts come from areo, and bubblers. they dont give the roots what it needs directly like the rockwool would but better premotes the roots to grow. less light 18/6, sooo going to see how much mroe effectiv that is

er no we aren't soaking the rockwool overnight, didnt know we had to and no we didnt flush the mothers!! cuttin just belowe the internode, that explains why it 'rots' up to that node. We are getting some more clonex tomorrow, i'll flush the mother plants tonight, and soak some new rockwool and take some more cuttings. I'll put my hand up, yes we pull out of the rockwool :( , mainly because they go droopy as hell and thats when we find out the stem is all mushy, Lets hope these new clones take, we really don't wanna be messing with seeds all the time.
