This is more like it...
YouTube - Are 60% of Ottawa High School Students High? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISsxLD1Hdww&mode=related&search=)
I never understood these kids on here who say that people label them as an outcast or call them a 'stoner' or 'pothead' or 'low-life'. LOL...I've never heard of that shit except for on movies.
This is an Ottawa school where they say up to 60% of students could be smoking during school...and that's just during school, nevermind after or on the weekends. My HS probably was not even this much...but it was still accepted and it was thrown in with drinking. Either you drank, or smoked, or did both...nobody judged...it was all the same. For the record, my school had like 1500 kids...pretty diverse for the most part...the majority being caucasian. Neither rich nor poor. Just an average school. I'd say I'm talking about more the junior and senior classes, the fresh and sophs smoke and drink too, but at a lesser rate.
How can you be an outcast if you're part of the majority LOL...I understand all schools are different, but I'd guess most HS's have a shitload of kids that smoke weed and even more who drink.
I think kids who say this are just depressed or something...or maybe they are an outcast either way...but they blame it on the fact that they smoke weed...so that's why "noone likes them". That's bullshit...everyone in HS smokes and drinks...all the 'groups'...there aren't 'the stoners' and 'the straight-edge' (well there are but that's probably less than 5%).
Sorry for this, but I see this and wonder...like...where the fuck do you go to high school where only people who look like 'the stoners' smoke weed. I think that just adds to the 'stereotyping' by saying shit like that...most people smoked (or at least didn't care if people did) at my school..the rich, the poor, the popular, the not-so-popular, the athletes. My very good friend was the Vice president of the class...very popular...got a 1400 on his SAT...smoked everyday in HS...I really don't think people looked down on him haha...more like wayyyy up (just an example for some backup). I was very active in sports...high honors or distinction every term...college now...and I was looked up to..not down at.
Yeah...so I just didn't understand this phenomenon...don't blame the trees just because you aren't popular...kids in HS aren't THAT judgemental...
