can any 1 help me out i gotta couple of female lowryder#2 on day 45, 14 days 2 go to harvest but on the main cola quite a few of the hairs are going brown. ive been lead to believe that they are ready for harvesting wen the hairs start to turn brown but most of the hairs are still white as u will see on the pics. wat i want to know is? do i cut off the brown bits of bud n cure them while im waiting to harvest or is it best to leave them till they all turn? also do u think they are small for their age? HELP!!!!!!!!

dont cut it yet, pistils arent an accurate way of determining how ripe your buds are, when the THC changes colour, to milky white, and amber, thats when you need to harvest, you will need a microscope or 30x magnifying glass... good luck :)
-oh yeh, i 4got to say, its a good size, lowryders are small, thats a nice plant too if you ask me...:)

niiice... they are definately nearing the finish line, give it a few days, and flush them out, i always give mine a day of darkness before the flush, then back to 12/12 i would explain why, but its hassle... so i wont.. basically it evens out the buds a little..

lol well, he's wrong, haha darkness enduces the flowering hormone, which is why the lights go to 12/12, i never give my plants an extended dark period before i harvest, i always do it for 2 days before flushing, the plant will produce more buds, but they will not be mature yet, and would be pointless to smoke, but after another week of 12/12 they should mature enough to be worth smoking, also the best part about giving it darkness before the flush, is that it will still have nutrients to make the buds, and after the flush, when the plants are breaking down the nutrients in the leaves, they will have to use up more of the remaining nutes to finish the new buds, therefore increasing the 'fade' which improves taste...:)
I find it helps to finish your buds off, and even them out a little,
