butane lighters

Its cold here in duluth, really really cold. So when i toke up on my bowl, my friends tell me not to use a butane lighter because itll shatter the bowl.

I like to use butane lighters to light blunts. Today I stole a gun butane lighter...only thing is that it didnt come with butane in it...now I gotta find a butane tank or sumthing...where could i get these?

pretty much all disposable lighters use butane. if you are talking about the ones with high powered blue flame it is the same gas under more pressure and they are called cigar lighters or maybe not called but that is their intended purpose...

ok wtf.... it seems like atleast 50% of the people here think disposable lighters have some type of diffrent gas than that that is in torch lighters....

so am i missing something here? cuz the only lighters that are butane, are zippo type lighters (to my knowledge) so wth?... are butane lighters just an american thing or what?

what kinda fuel is in the lighters you people use?

butane lighters take butane gas zippos take Naptha lighter fluid and if i'm not mistaken bic's are liquid butane yes no?

butane is butane, period.. there is no liquid or gas butane, it's all the same thing... under pressure it is liquid, when exposed to air, it turns to gas...

and yes zippos use naptha... bics are butane.

well then there's those electric ones, that are like a portable car lighter... but that wouldn't be very easy to use with a bowl.

Bic's use butane too but it's free burning. Your talking about a torch, a torch uses butane too but it's under pressure and the flame shoots out in a blue jet. Yes it burns hotter, yes you CAN waste weed with it but if you get it real cherry, hit it hard, pass the pipe and let a friend hit it while it's still cherry and you pooch the bowl, nothing got wasted.
