Lesson is wear a helmt with anything..especially a dirtbike. 20mph flying headfirst into a curb...a helmet coulda avoided all of this. felt like a brick was slammed into my head.

Well I could have told you that. :p Of course wear a helmet if operating an open motor vehicle. By open, I mean a vehicle with no doors and such, like a dirtbike. ;)

Just be glad because I think you got off easy. The human skull is only 1/4 of an inch thick, and hitting your head on a curb going 20mph could have easily popped it open.

I saw my buddies stepdad lose his 2 front teeth riding a motorized trike (3 wheeler thingy). He hit a bump, went flying upward, and hit his mouth on the handlebars. He was drunk though, so what do you expect. :p

I'm sure as hell glad thats the only thing that happened. 5 stiches and some
neosporin and im good to go. The first thing I checked were if all my teeth were still there :o

Yeah, I did. First time too. I'd close my eyes and it'd be flashing white and black nonstop...it was such a bitch.

I was wearing a helmet when I crashed last year and spun around like a top on my head. I was wearing a helmet the time before that too but I got a concussion anyways. It would have killed me if I was not wearing the helmet, so I 100% agree with you on wearing gear.

me too...i went through a fence on a snowmobile back in '97 ...had i not been wearing a helmet the fence would have most likely decapitated me. i always wear a helmet, its saved my life before.

Being 17, I don't wanna listen to my parents ;) Of course I will now..all it took was me "learning the hard way"

I was knocked off my motorcycle on a Alanta freeway at almost 60 Mph a number of years ago...One destroyed Kawasaki, one shreded set of leathers, One VERY large hole sanded in the back of my helment (From sliding down the concrete barrier) When I went to take the helmet off it came apart in my hands, All I have to say is...THANK YOU Simpson Racing Products!!!!!!
