garden lime

Hi

I purchased some garden lime, and didn't realize it was in pellet form. I can't return the package, so I crushed some with a hammer. Would it now be considered powered? It did dissolve in water. I know it's not dolomite lime, but I read, somewhere, that it's about the same, and I couldn't find the dolomite, this time of the year.
