Yup, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, and Post Rock are damn good genres. My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Slint, Yo La Tengo, Teenage Fanclub, Psychic Ills, The Lilys, Hum, Animal Collective, Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, I'm sure you heard all those bands.

Could you give me some recommendations for Math Rock? I like Shellac to give you an idea.

You could get into lo-fi. Great genre, Pavement, Grandaddy, Beulah, Apples In Stereo, Olivia Tremor Control, Elf Power, Of Montreal, Bright Eyes, Elliot Smith, Eric's Trip, Iron And Wine, Modest Mouse, Music Tapes, Neutral Milk Hotel The Shins, The Unicorns, Built To Spill, etc.

Other bands you should check out that fall under indie or similar genres

Nada Surf
Statistics
Halley
Jail
Belle & Sebastian

I could on forever, if you wanna talk music, or want to d/l anything you can't find and you have soulseek, my username is fuckyouimgoingtocalifornia
