MOSCOW: Even as the United States intensifies its efforts to isolate Iran, President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Russia would consider OPEC- like cooperation with it on sales of natural gas. The Foreign Ministry also expressed support for postponing United Nations sanctions over Iran's nuclear program.

"We think that the people of Iran should have access to modern technologies, including nuclear ones," Putin said, "but that they should choose a variant that will guarantee Iran access to nuclear energy" while complying with its commitment under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty not to build weapons.

Iran can't really be considered as a terrorist being a recognized country but their government does suppost terrorism.

Back on topic. I understand now! Russia isn't selling NG to Iran.. There gonna work together as far as pricing for the rest of the world. Things would be bad for America at least if this happens. Combined they own about 30% of the worlds known reserves. And if they get Saudi Arabia in on it they will hold ruffly 40%.

Civilian losses are a bitch but I don't see any way around Iran. Look at what's happening in that country. They have a population of 68 mill with 1 mill in the regular army and 11.5 in the Basij (suicide army). Thats 12.5 mill out of 68 mill..........Thats 18% of their population in the service not to mention 17% set up for martydom! Proportionally speaking, imagine if the U.S. set up 51 million people for martydom on top of our regular forces? What would the world say? Wouldn't they be a bit worried about something like this? With a military build up like this are we really suppose to believe that they want nuclear tech. for peaceful purposes?

Every nation has used propaganda to support there side and cause. Iran, America, Russia, France, Germany, (insert others here). Not everyone reacts the same and for Iran they have a high drug rate with a high illiteracy rate to add to the problem.
