What is love? Namely this romantic love shared between Human beings(?) I personally believe that love is nothing more than a fuel that stimulates evolution, it is a combustible force that contributes to the success of human life in a vital and necessary way.
I believe that love has evolved into the emotions of humans merely as an element to increase the likelihood of human commitment and faithfulness, which contributes to the success of the offspring, which in turn, perpetuates the evolutionary advancement of consciousness. Love is merely a product and element of the human evolution and it exists only to potentiate procreation and reproduction and nothing more. Love is a superficial catalyst of life. It holds no meaning outside of procreation. We are all governed by the blind desire to mate, this insatiable desire compels us to seek out romantic relationships.
To love, is to mate. You cannot escape these emotions easily because they are hardwired into us for the sake of evolution.

Maybe homosexuality is an anomaly of ambiguous desire. It is still nevertheless the same kind of love of a more deviant variety of course.

Thats quite a bold statement.
I personally see gay love exactly the same way I see straight love.
I do agree with certain parts of your first post. Yes maybe love is there to "potentiate procreation and reproduction" but I think that is only a small factor of "love".

Love is what keeps the female of the species from devouring her mate after breeding.
Actually- that explains the tradition of giving women chocolates... chocolate tastes better than fresh raw man-meat, lol
