Has this ever happened to anyone?

I lost touch with one of my best friends and hadn't talked to him in like 3 years. Today he IM'ed me. I don't know how he got my SN but that dosn't matter. He told me he heard I became a major pothead from some people and they said I'm a huge "druggie". This fucking pisses me off to no end. What else pisses me off is that he is one of those completely ignorant anti-drug people who listens to those above the influence type of commercials. Hes like, if you do something, drink, just don't smoke, please, it's so bad for you. I started explaning how alcohol fucks people up and fucks up your body and such, how it makes you act like a fucking retard and so many people die from it and it impairs you driving and judgment so much. He says; "Same with pot".

I can't even explain how pissed I was, that there are people so fucking ignorant and believe everything they hear. I tried to explain it to him but he wouldn't listen. He just kept saying "get off the pot", and then he said "we
should hang out some time, drug free". It's not that hes straight edge, I don't care about that. The thing is he is just another one of those brainwashed zombies and I can't fucking stand it. It makes me want to kick his ass. I just can't stand people like this. I wonder how I was ever friends with him.

I don't even know if I want to hang out with him because still beside that, we seem to have nothing in common now. Plus, I feel like he would just bother me about that the whole time. I mean, it would be nice to see him but, I don't know...

Yeah, it does suck to have someone you would sacrifice somethign so much for. Fuck you over entirely because you smoke pot. It is ignorant(I once did this, and realize how wrong I was. Except for the fact that this guy completely absorbed his life into it and is now just a moron.)

Well you haven't talked to him in 3 years, so why should you care what he thinks now? It's been 3 years, who cares.

Those people, you can't change their mind. They are stuck in their conservative ways, and trusting their government to give legit info. If they would open their eyes for 2 minutes and maybe read some of the governments past history, they would know that they are overflowing with bullshit.

So don't bother changing his mind. If it bothers you, ignore him, because convincing him won't work. It's been 3 years, so I don't see the point of caring what he thinks.

One time, my buddies girlfriend kept saying, "cannabis makes you stupid, it makes you lazy, causes cancer, etc..." so the next week I presented her with proven facts about how cannabis is much harmless than alcohol. I mean, I had pages of the stuff. She looked for maybe 1 minute and looked at me and said, "you don't really believe all this do you?" It's been proven! And the last time I checked, government propaganda isn't fact.

But that all boils down to trust. Some people trust their government when really, they are slimey bastards who withhold information from their people.
