It was like one of 5 seeds that came off one of my buds plants. His plant is gone now but the legacy lives on. Hopefully I will be able to to Reveg cause I topped it a while ago and it's only like 13" tall... If all goes as planned I'm going to be a happy camper come April. . .

Here is an update on this sad little plant. In the post before I have a pic. of the tip that I semi topped. I got an update on that. And I need your help. I still am not sure if it's a girl or not. It has these things but i saw them the whole time it was growing (before flowering). I got my photo lens and zoomed in on some leaves, I see alot of little hairs, but only one cola has what look to be Tri. on them. It's like a week into flowering.

So my grow has been on 14/10 for the past 2 weeks and its kinda getting on my nerves. It doesn't seem like it's doin the trick. This is my first time using flo's and I was paranoid about low lum's. I'm using this 2 hour light diff. as a buffer to hopfully make up for quality. I'm going to work on it tomorrow so I will have pics. up on the progress, but I don't see much.

whats up, watchin the gro and plant is lookin nice, like its gonna have alot o tops. You said you got a ventilation issue, what do you mean. What kinda ventilation u got now? me's grow is in a closet thats small as shit, 5x2x8 exact, had a 250 hps in there, one of those with built in ballast, just switched it out for an aircooled 400hps keeping the ballast out of the closet and guess what, not shittin, its cooler than that 250. Got a 150cfm hooked to light w/ a 100cfm at top o closet w/ one of those carbon cans runs 24/7. Just got a cheap 16 inch oscillatin fan and temps are fine mid 70's more or less w/ light maybe 12-16inches from tops o plants

Anyway i'm a newbie and this is my first grow but pretty stoked about them air cooled lights!!! Good Luck

I'm kinda stoned so all I see right now is numbers, but thank you I'm sure it will be valuable to me later. . yeah I got 6 main stems, 2 are topped, and all are pulled down/layed horizontally. But on the Fake, I have it growing in a closet with no air coming in or out, all it is is one 4" fan blowing around it. I know I suck. . .

It doesn't get to hot in the closet since i open it here and there, but now I might have a bigger issue. My timer is on the fritz, the battery that is built into it keeps ding and reseting the times, I let it charge for like 40 min. the box said 30. I hope its ok now. . .

I had 1 and I left it plugged in for 24 hours and then unplugged it and set it to see how long it would keep time. It never failed. It ran for 2 days on the counter and was still running and keeping time before I plugged it back in. I'd look into another timer.Good Luck!

I am starting to get a little yellowing on the bottom leaves, not sure what to think of it but I'm watching and feeding. Things are looking good everywhere else, there are alot of hairs popping up. I need to take a new count of main tops, and I'm thinking if I should take another clone before it gets to far along. I don't really need a clone, but I did want to reveg. Hey i just stumbled into this thread i dunno how i missed it before, i started to flower my BB the same time as you, not as big as this one, but i got some nice buds forming allready, im aiming for the last week in march to harvest. 50 day flower period, gives me 20 days to dry and cure, hey even if there not done by 420 u will have a dank ass bud to cut off and dry, just let it dry out for a coupledays haha, u got bud for 420 either way... me 2! we'll have to share our 420 experiences.

as for your clone; my bad sweetie; put it under a constant 24/7 and wait for it to grow. plenty of water too, just don't soak it. they can root in 12/12, but you need to reveg if you want to keep her for a clone mother....

The plant seems healthy enough, but Sky cleared it up for me I am in like week 3 of flowering. It gets hot in my closet so I don't know if that makes it droop. Hey, FV. Am I mistaken or are you only using CFLs? I thought you had an HPS up there, but I don't see it in the pic. Hmm. It would probably help to get those CFLs WAY closer than they are in the pic. For vegging, I've noticed they can go a bit further, but they've gotta be within 2-3 inches for flowering. If you've got proper ventilation/exhaust and a fan blowing over the bulbs, they should be okay with the heat.

Dude, you can get it at the grocery store. Any grocery store except the cutrate ones. Just to give you a notion of what to look for, Brer Rabbit and Grandma's are two brands. But it really doesn't matter who makes it. If anyone asks why you're buying it, tell them you're going to make gingersnaps.

While you're out, go to Wal-Mart and go to the sporting goods section (where the camping shit is) and get an emergency camping blanket. It's made of mylar and costs 1.97.

The health food place will probably also have a brand of organic unrefined sugar called Sucanat. You can mix that in too. The first link I gave you mentions it I think.

Oh, come on, Mrs. G. I'm not that bad, am I? I'm just pointing out things that I've read. :o Just thought he knew that.

I've actually heard of that before (the dull side of the foil), and it probably does work to some extent. I think using the dull side of the foil is to prevent hot spots that might come from wrinkled foil concentrating light onto one point and making your leaves look polka-dotted. Using the dull side is probably better than using the shiny side...unless you can maybe get the shiny side pasted onto the wall absolutely perfectly flat, which still might not be the best and is surely close to impossible.

Even if foil is useable, it is not the most efficient use of reflection. I don't have the chart or the exact numbers, but reflectivity is measured in percentage (%), with mylar being up there at around 99% reflective or something, followed by flat white, then foil. Don't quote me on this...but this is what I've read EVERYWHERE I've looked.

Therefore, if someone is trying to maximize their yeild and have the healthiest plants, it would make sense that one would try to use the best materials for the project...with mylar being the best.

I dunno about those WallyWorld emergency tarps, but from what I've read, they ARE mylar, just much thinner than mylar you can purchase at a Hydro or garden store. The higher the "mm" of thickness, the more durable and less transparent the mylar will be. Even the material that shiny balloons are made of is mylar, but it is not the best quality.

If I only had access to WM Emergency blankets, I would most likely spray glue them to a white sturdy surface so they are flat and do not wrinkle or rip. At least it's better than foil. ;) ;) ;)

I agree 100% Fog honey. I have my mylar flimsy hanging because I was in a time pinch due to the whole moving thing. But everything you've said up there is true. Especially the part about the mm thickness.

I'd like to add that foil is permissible dull side out, and only when heat isn't an issue. That is to say, it's better than nothing.

yo i read in the high times in the last 4-6 weeks of flowering dilute 2-4 tbs of molasses or fructose and it will make your buds swell 20% and make them taste sweet. good luck

OK, so I'm back from my break. I have been using the Blackstrap since the day you gave the word Mrs.G, and I got to say I would be nowhere without yours and Sky's guidance... If you ladys ever step foot in Los Angeles I would be glad to show my gratitude. . .

Back on the subject of the Blackstrap, I got a few questions. Am I suppost to be using the BlackStrap daily? Do I use it up untill my harvest, or is there a time when I should stop feeding? I have so many questions that I can't think of right now. . .

hmm from your post on april 4 you said from a few days ago those plants looked like they still had like another 3/4 weeks into them im curious into how it came out ..

YA, Looking at it now. I would say i still had another 2 weeks before I should of touched it. . . I rushed it because I needed the space for my clone. Whats the worst that can come of me cutting it to soon? Is there anything I need to worry about? or anything I should do?

hmm im not expert but id say you should dry it over a few weeks then cure it for sure to get the maximum effect. if you waited more it wouldve bulked up more and matured a little more so what you lost is a little weight and some high.. i dont wanna make you feel bad but many people say the real growing is the last 2 weeks where it puts on alot of weight. but dont worry this is completely ok you are learning so am I.. what is the purpose of this forum? to show off to people you dont and will never know? i dont think so its to learn the best.. take care man and get some harvest pics:p

I am taking alot of pics now that I got my digital, but I picked up some Everclear in Texas that is slowing me down(not trying to name drop). Yeah they were getting cloudy. I am using a Photo negative Lens to look at them. It gives a good close up but I wish I could look a little closer. . .

i know im stupid for saying this but i have to... why is herb illegal? that fact has nothing to do with it.. the government gets money from drug sales, if they made it legal it drugs would be cheaper and they wouldnt get so much money. but by making it illegal and time to time busting asses to those who dont bribe them enough they reduce the amount of drugs in the planet and get make drug prices rise.. and make their pockets fill more..

lol i actually came up with this idea, i was thinking if there was no herb in the planet almost none.. like that movie waterworld.. and some guy wanted to sell you one bud for like 20.000 dollars.. would i buy it... interesting dont you think? ( i wouldnt buy it :) )

LOL, that link is more of how it came to be, at least in my country. That Ass-hole Anslinger was also able to talk other countrys into joining in on our countrys ignorance. We can pretty much blame it on him, or the Treasury Department. And in my opinion the facts have everything to do with it. A bunch of gullible citizens tainted a plant with such bullshit notions. Now, on top of everything else, they use this past to turn a profit instead of advancing our society. . .Why is herb Illegal? because the government can't have the balls to go back on their word. They can't just tell a dealer it is ok to deal now. You said it yourself, why stop a good cash crop, at least for themselves. . .

But, yeah, for sure. . .I will give them a smoke re-cap as soon as they are dried properly. I want to cure, maybe even throw some in the freezer for a long cure. I think they will be good and dry my the 19th. . .

woohoo:) thats great im going to try something ive never heard anyone do this but maybe you would like to try also. i was thinking about throwing in a slice of orange while curing. and changing the slice everyday.. you think it would give the buds a slight taste of orange? it would be really cool to smoke not really orange but a very faint orange bud.. :smokin:

I think I have heard of that. It seems like a really cool idea, I would want to use a lime peel though, I'm not big on the old orange smell. I say go for it, I will try it on a small scale with maybe a nug or two. It's worth a shot. . .

should the peel be kinda dry when you put it in, or should it be freshly cut?

LOL, I found these Silica packets at my work, and since I noticed the peel is making the buds kinda moist. I am going to throw the packets in the jars. . . those things are great. . .

I think I am smoking it way to fast, I know originally I planned on smoking it all for 4/20, but I really didn't think it through to well. I have maybe 20g left. . .

My next goal, after I start to flower the next batch, is to find my lady a mate. . . I want to grow a male so that I can pollenate and have some seeds to store. I really like these buds, I liked them the first time and I am glad they show alot of charactoristics of the original herb. Any one got some pollen they want to share. . .lol. . . preferably a Satavia strain. . .is it illegal to mail pollen? :smokebong:

I have one germing. I am going to see what comes of that, but I really want to see if I can get my hands on some pollen. I also am trying to figure out how to get some commercial strains. I have alot on my plate right now. Besides getting my girl knocked up, I am shopping for a cab, along with equip. I am watching my closet closely because their has been alot of yellowing showing up. All the clones are growing nicely now. i will try to get some pics. up on my other thread. . .

I also had another question, I was in my closet the other day during veg, and I noticed that the clones are still showing female signs and producing trics. I cut off one of the saks, and when I looked inside. I noticed there was a very small but sure enough a seed there. I know the seed was not even close to maturaty, but I am wondering if that is normal or if I might have a problem. Again, it is a super small seed, which has no real signs of being ready to grow, but never the less I know thats what it is. . . . any ideas folks, this one really gots me thinking.

I actually have no exact title. The buds that it came from was a freind of mines grow, he said he bought a clone but I dont know the name. He said it was something like an orange (Cali " ", " " crush, or " " cronic). . . But I don't know because the guy talks crazy sometimes. . . it is zesty dank though. . .
