anyone else here VERY anal about cleaning your glass?

i think im about the most anal person EVER when it comes to keeping my glass clean... right after im done smooking i have to get my pipe or bong back to spotless condition... the bowl and down pipe for my bong are crystal clear just like the day i bought it and ive been using it for months now... anyone else here like this?

No, I'm anal about my pipes at all. I just use them until resin starts leaking out the shotgun hole. :p Nah, just with this one pipe I did that once. It was so full of resin, everytime I get the bowl heated up smoking, resin would leak out the shotgun hole and all over your fingers. It sucked actually.

I just clean my pieces when they start smoking a little harsh, or if all I can taste is the resin and not the weed, or, if the pipe becomes clogged, then it's time for a cleaning.

Not after every bowl though.

i clean mine about twice a month but they dont get used daily, i just cleaned by bong out 2 days ago.

I wish I was cuz I have a sweet Big Bong thats is caked on the inside and I can't get it off..

tried leaving in for a few days in Rubbing alchol and Salt and it helped but didn't clean it I need to scrape it I think But I cant get down in the bottom Its too big of a piece of glass.

Any ideas? the girl at the weed shop told me I had to use 99% proff rubbing Alchol I guiess I was using 70% i threw the bottle away so I don't know..

Can I boil it out? I have read about this but not sure if its a good idea for a large bong similar in size to delta 9s displayed Bong

Just curious what cleaning method you use for a pipe with that much resin in it. I have a glass spoon that is a little bit bigger than the larger sized bics. I do the alcohol +salt method but in the bowl part of my pipe on the opposite side of were the carb is, there is like a pretty decent sized build up of resin that I can't get out. I have used the alcohol/salt method like 3 times and shook it vigorously and it still wouldnt come out...what would you reccomend for me?

Lol I almost never clean my pipe anymore. It's so dirty I don't even know how it's gonna make it crystal clean when I try to clean it. It's a see-thru glass piece so yeah...

Then I leave it until I can't pull through it anymore and tell myself I'm going to clean it for a couple weeks, then look for my other pipe...then finally when both of them are screwed, then I gotta clean them.

BUT, I use a very effective, yet time consuming method of cleaning them with a large paperclip...it takes forever...

I have like 2 or 3 grams of resin in a baggie...I wanna give it to someone cuz I haven't had to break out resin for a LONG time. I dunno why I'm hanging on to it. :confused: As a matter of fact, I'm going to throw it away tonight...maybe I'll light it on fire somewhere. lol

I will use a piece for awhile without a cleaning - just change water and rinse it out. I clean bowls all the time. But as soon as I change to a different bong or pipe, the used piece gets an alcohol/salt bath immediately.

i used to clean the double bubbler in my avatar every week, because it looked so sick with no tar in the insides(when it was milked it look like clouds) Some pieces look good clean, some look better color changed.

I have several extra cheap sliders of the plain glass sort for each piece I own so that if I switch up the strain, I get a nice fresh bit of glass to smoke out of.

bristle pipe cleaners and the alcohol. or paint thinner. just make sure you wash out all the paint thinner

so i just let it resinate and accept it in all its fumed colorful smelly tarry splendor

Noooooooooo!

You people need a bong buddy and some Iso mixed with fruit oil (like orange) it absolutely creams the resin on glass and the bong buddy lets you get to all the bits easily.

I probably clean my bong and pipe once every week or two weeks depending on how much i use em. I actually like cleaning them... Plus, since I'm kinda a glass enthusiast (and so i tend to buy very colorful pieces with interesting designs) nothing is better than when they are sparkling clean
