Alcohol...decreases your high?

I've heard several people mention something along the lines of 'Alcohol directly effects the THC in your body'. So, is it true that by drinking alcohol before or after you smoke has some sort of negative effect to your high? Or even kill it completely if you ingest enough?

Every time I drank/smoke I've never felt "less high" by any means. Anyone have the straight facts? How does alcohol influence your high?

If you smoke before you drink...your high will wear off eventually...leaving you open to drunkeness.

If you get drunk then smoke...you get all fucked up.

Both ways usually leave me pretty fucked up, but I agree that smoking after you drink is definitely an experience.

I'm just wondering if alcohol wears down your high at all.

Yeah actually I know what you're saying now. Like if you're high..and have a couple beers when you're high would it affect the direct effects of marijuana? I would say yes...definitely...well the psychological effect from the marijuana at least... would be dumbed down from the alcohol (depressant focused on the CNS).

He means he doesn't like the feelings of combining alcohol and bud. I can understand where he's coming from; it's a completely different feeling. It's almost a big uncontrollable at times. Everything is a blur...it's strange.

Well no. THC is supposed to hit the bloodstream and furthermore the brain, whereas alcohol has to go directly to the metabolism.. I'm guessing that you get the same high, but you're adding more substance into your body, so therefore you get more fucked. It's great to smoke alot whilst drinking alot.. You end up in the corner of the party, struggeling to get up on your chair.
Suggestions:
+Pre-roll 5 grams, into 4-5 j's.
+Have a bottle of Jack, and 12 brews.
+Invite 2-3 friends.

id say it is the exact opposite. getting high after ive been drinking i tend to get higher and a little drunker too. the world will start spinning, if you have had to much beer then maybe spinning a little more than you want. but it is nice if you don get sick. i have always heard it gets you higher and in my experience its true

A friend of mine that would get blacked out drunk and then smoked would get to the point where he couldn't sit down. He would be sitting in a chair and pulling himself forward with his arms and pushing the opposite way with his feet until he slid out of the chair. It was the funniest shit ever to watch. If I drink too much and smoke, I puke hard, and if I am drinking, I am also smoking. Most of the time I stop when I start getting uncomfortably fucked up.

I usually like drinking before hand and then smoking a cool blunt afterwards. If i smoke before drinking then i dont feel like drinking so much for some reason nd i dont get so tore up. But I know everyone can agree on this with me, drinkin a wholee lott and then smoking 1 or 2 blunts afterwards gives you the spins and a cold sweatt!! That's when you tell your friends your gonna go outside for a minute or go to the bathroom for a sec and then u end up pukinggg a shit load, walking back into the room with everyone looking at you knowing you puked. i prefer not to drink at all actually... i dunno what it is or what but I just do not think its worth getting drunk for the horrible hang over and I also do not like the fealing of being drunk. I also prefer to be just high compared to high/drunk because again I hate alcohol even tho at times I still drink to much at parties and I wake up durign the nigt puking on myself lol...

If I drink before I smoke, it definitely makes the weed hit harder but it's also pretty much guaranteed to make me tired and like ready to sleep a few hours later.

The ultimate way to gedt the drunk + high feeling and not bee sick. (i love it but never done it with beer or anything tough) is to have a nice blunt with cups of Alize (16% kind of a strong wine) or trusty hypnotiq. Ull feel great in no time gulping thos cups to cure cottonmouth.

yeah if your worried blaze then drink because... u wont wanna drink cos ur blazed but imo a couple of beers followed by a zoot enhances the high significantly, as a matter of tradition I always go for a zoot with my mate after the pub. If your low on weed get pissed before.

Last weekend i drank 6 beers then shared a few joints with friends.

It got me a REALLY nice high for sure....

Like... Semi-drunk and very high. It felt really cool.

If i drink more than 7 beers, then smoke i get incredibly sick.... but if i drink 4-7 beers then smoke then its awesome. You just have to limit the alch.

THC acts mostly on the neurons (as far as I know) because it's structurally similar to the endocannabinoids that are always present in your body. I don't really know why one seems to be worse than the other. I know that I got really drunk and smoked a joint with a friend one night, but I didn't really notice anything, but that was only like the 3rd or 4th time I had ever smoked and I hadn't really gotten high before yet. Now I have my bong which totally fucks my shit up, I might find out tonite exactly what everyone is talking about.:stoned:

Oh yeah man, it will. There was this one time when I had about 7-9 beers and about 3-4 shots. Smoked maybe 2 bowls after that and shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit was I fucked up. It was amazing. :rasta: haha
