How do you guys smoke?

I was just wondering, how many of you follow smoking etiquette...(puff puff pass, passing to the left, whoever rolls it sparks it, and so on). i find that a lot of people disregard this rule, epsecially puff puff pass. I always see people puff puff puff, one more little puff, one last big puff pass. I hate when motherfuckers babysit a blunt...anyway, just wondering what you all think about this/do when you smoke

I'm lucky to be around seasoned smokers (30+ yrs old all over 10 years of experience of daily toking) so its almost a given - no-one needs to say it as we all know it.

With noobs or those new to the circle its different and we tend to go easy on them and just let them know how its done by showing. Us apes are good at copying ;) everyone has to begin to learn someday.

The thing is that when noobs get stoned a lot of that stuff goes out of the window as they are hammered and not used to "operating" in that state. Nonetheless the comedy value can outweigh them being a bit annoying.

Bogarting joints/blunts/bong bowls/vape hits = not good. I think that's the first rule to learn.

in my circle of friends we have just common courtesy etiquette, we all hit once unless it was a crappy hit though were all real relaxed, sometimes we'll all be smoking our own shit just chillin out so in that case do whatever you want, i also corner bowls rather then torching the whole thing, ive only ever had a problem really once with someone not being considerate when smoking

If someone does it once, no big deal, twice, they're pushing it, 3 times and we usually say something about it.

As for which side it goes to, we don't care, as long as it goes in a rotation and we don't skip anyone, or someone doesn't get 2 turns in one rotation.

All in all, they're not picky things to live by. They're common curtiousy, and if you lack that, I probably wouldn't be hanging out with you anyhow. :)

Big issue here in my life.

I have brought two or three people into blazing that now do it daily and one of em i really tried to be quiet but i couldnt stand the burning the whole top of the bowl so i gotta fliup it . holding the blunt for two hits. I adhere to this.

1. Girls Hit FIRST. We always are spot on this one.
2.Corner it and Cover it.
3.One breath you get to hit it. Thats it. hit as many times or as long just dont exhale or its over.

We dont really regulate who sparks cuz they rolled but if i roll i take the choice. and i offer others always.

My friends and I all do this too. I personally think it's down right rude if someone burns the whole bowl in their first hit:mad: :mad: Those people are jerks in my mind. We also alternate greens, rotating from greens to last. So whoever had/has last can always count on greens next bowl. I feel like a loser taking greens every bowl, everyone deserves to taste my nugget. As far a joints and blunts go, well.. I don't smoke thewm very often(maybe once a month) but there usually isn't a limit on tokes, just pass whenever as long as your not being a dick sitting on it for like one-third of the joint/blunt.

usually the one who rolled it or packed it sparks, then they pass it to whoever, and the first rotation shows the order. everybody takes as many hits as they feel like, you guys gotta learn the simple pleasure of euro-style. the trick is that everybody is pretty disappointed unless the bowl goes around like 3 times so you gotta keep it reasonable.

Well my crew follows the whoever rolls it sparks it, then its usually 3 hits then pass... Its up to the person who first sparks it to tell which way the rotation goes. If someone drops the blunt then we all get to dummy smack them unless were more then a blunt in.

my group tries to follow some rules, but sometimes we just don't give a shit. but there are a couple we do try to keep up with most of the time:

if it's your weed, it's your greens
3rd bowl goes to the right
puff puff pass (unless it's a bowl/bong. one hit on those)
and after the first hit, spots in the rotation are up for grabs

Well, I almost always smoke with the same 3 people. Business partners as well as very close friends for years now. Generally we're all smoking personals. There have been times when one of my friends is dry, I have no problem spotting them, because they would do the same for me. Even when that happens, not to many rules about it. The main one is: whoever rolls it, sparks it. It's gotta be that way or you have to get rid of the dutch, what can I say, it's terrible luck, at least in all of my friends and myself's experiences. Believe me, the universal rules are well known too all of us, however, we generally just chief it until were good for a minute, then we pass. If someone drops the dutch, who cares? It's still there, these things happen.

One particular thing we all like doing, is mixing a little bit of hash in with the dutch. They burn just like a real cigar, just roll a hoe leg and your set for the better part of the afternoon, and thats if your gobbling it down like a chocolate cake.

for me, i let whoever's weed it is to spark whatever we are smoking... however most of the time my friends are real nice and offer each person in the smoking ring to light up a new bowl, etc (because usually we are just 3-4 at a time). i sometimes offer it to someone else to light even if its my weed, im pretty nice about that. but yeah if im not with my close buddies then whoever had the weed sparks it up :p. for the rotation we do puff-puff pass unless we wanna take HUGE hits and hold em in till the contraption comes around again.

smoke the weed, just draw the blunt, and make sure everyone gets equal draws, no set amount of draws, just a proper mellow session.........I hate when people start complaining about draws on a blunt or spliff, like there's no more weed to burn or somethng.............

We follow normal etiquette unless we agree on rule changes beforehand... we have a very democratic process about this <<

Normally, we agree on 1 hit per pass for a bowl/bong, 2 for a joint, and 3 or 4 for a blunt (Especially 4 if it's only 2 or 3 people smoking).

Normally the one who rolls/packs it gets first hit, followed by all the others who paid for weed that night... after that, if we're at someone's place they get the hits after that, and after that if anyone else did/bought anything (Drinks/Munchies/bring some entertainment or do us a favor) they get preference in the rotation. Then everyone else.

I do hate, a lot of people cheat and say 'I didn't get a hit' and take 3 to 4 hits instead of 2... but that's rare.

I can't either. It makes you seem like a fiend. Everyone knows what they are doing, puff, puff, puff, pass or if it's a bowl or bong 1 hit and pass it. One guy in my brother's band is still kinda a newbie, and takes 2 puffs off the bowl. GRRRR...

Around here, Bogarting and Babysitting have 2 slightly little differences.

When some Bogarts a joint, that means they are taking multiple hits, burning down the joint or bowl, taking more than their share. Also known as a Scavenger.

Babysitting the joint however, is when someone takes a hit, then talks for 5 minutes while they let it just burn away. The ones who just hold it, and talk and talk and talk.

That's another thing, if you're going to do babysit the joint, I will say something right away. Smoke, then talk. Not get the joint, then talk for 5 minutes, then take a hit.

Around here it's always passed left. One or two hits is the general etiquette. I always corner the bowl and it pissed me off when people just blaze the whole thing. Who evers weed it is always sparks it.

A few people i smoke with fairley regularly don't have very good etiquette cause there still kind of noobs. It really annoys me when they take like 3 or 4 hits all the time and hardly ever corner the bowl.

One time i gave one of them the pipe i had just packed to hold while i got out my lighter and they sparked it.:mad:

USUALLY whoever loads the bowl passes it to someone next to them..and they are supposed to pass it to the person who just loaded if after they hit it..

...or sometimes the person that loads it just takes green if they want...no one really cares...

Usually theres enough people and weed that we just keep loading the bong and loading the bong and we don't worry...we just pass it around.

...usually it's passed around to the point to where we are so stoned we don't even know the rotation.

I like to have a nice relaxed environment where people can just sit and chill whille passing a blunt or whatever we're smoking. I've smoked with some annoying kids that would complain about everything like "DUDE I'M DUECE I DON'T WANNA BE THIRD" and argue about stupid shit like that, or when people can't have one normal rotation so they skip people and go backwards and stuff because people want to be second or third so much. Usually in these circles I end up just getting my hit then leaving. Gets annoying.

haha me and my friends argue about the rotation sooo much. like we'll clip a joint and put it in a bowl, and whoever was abotu to hit it gets it, then everyone else calls their spot in the rotation and the whole thign changes. crazy shit

Get a key or something a flip it over. Thats what I always do and there is 99% of the time at least two hits left. Some people I know like to press it down with their finger and just smash all the ash or something, I don't do that so I don't really know what they're doing.
