Music is the rhythm of life.
My favorite band, Grandaddy, is the soundtrack of my life. It transcends my thoughts and feelings into music in ways I wish I could express myself. This band changed the way I perceive the world. It's an extension of my personality and tells a lot about who I am.
I listen and appreciate all kinds of styles. But never had one band impacted my life as Grandaddy. I'm sure others have a band that deeply moves them like I do.

Pick up a guitar and learn to play.
Best thing I ever did. I've even written some songs.

I'm honestly addicted to music more than I am any other activity or any substance. I need that shit. Like right now..I had to pause the movie I'm watching because I had to hear a song (never stops at one) lol. First thing in the morning...I throw on a few tracks to get me ready for the day (music definitely directly affects my mood). Always got my music player on me. I've been working on some beats lately too...not bad IMO...I'm getting addicted to that as well...staying up and working on them...first thing in the morning and shit haha...(my friend writes..so we are trying to combine our powers and see what happens).
Life would not be the same without that mothafuckin' music.

Hell yes. It's like my girlfriend. Always on me, in time of need.

What progs do you use?
Music is my medication.
It directs the flow of my moods, thoughts, expirience,
and also soothes or empowers.
Lends creativity and inspiration,
hypnotic effects and sensational soundscapes to lose myself in.
I am content with all, and words are the limitations.

Yes man, I totally do. Man, I really get into my music, its my fuckin life. If I didnt have music, I would be one sad, depressed, and angry person.

Marx said religion is the opiate of the masses, but it seems more logical to say music is the opiate of the masses. Think about how few stores, restaurants and public places don't have music playing in them.
I love music. Just wish they'd stop bringing in the low grade crap that's based mostly on the signer's appearance (you all know what I'm talking about).

Oh fuck yes.
My absolute favorite group, Juno Reactor could honestly be played for me 24/7. I've gotten a shit load of people I know addicted to it because their style of trance is just a fucking blur of emotion and rhytem that can't be called anything but kick-ass.
Trance music for the motherfucking win!!!
Pink Floyd and Bob Marley are cool too... gotta represent being a stoner.

Alot of the times probably because of the lack of vocabulary or lack of creativity, you choose ;P

Yes, you were the guy that gave out the recommendation a while ago.

I love the feeling of getting lost in music. Like at a live show and the sound is just so whole and it fills you up and you become apart of it. Thats one of my favorite feelings in the world

Yes, I do. I play in a band with a few other fellows, and my buddy Mike does the lyric writing. The things he writes about you can't just say in a normal conversationw ithout someone thinking your nuts. :p And it's true.
I mean, look at Slayer's writing for example. If they said in conversation what they say in their songs, people would have them sent to an institution.
So yes, I feel songwriting is a free for all to say anything that is in your head. :)

The lyrics don't say anything I can;t say. But those instruments, when i hear or play them, it is like my real self(the one noone sees) is coming through the sounds and instrument itself.

i play several instruments and i can say that without music i would be in a constant state of boredom and depression. i love to make my guitar cry and sing. i think music is a window into the soul.

Right now I'm just starting out...so FL Studio is pretty fit for me...starting to get the hang of it now. I'm looking into some courses for Reason and ProTools...but I dunno if digital music is even the way to go. It's usually frowned upon...but theses programs really can create anything you hear out there. I'm basically making these for my friend so he can have something to get started on. So..I'm also starting to look at more of the business side of things now to get shit up and running...which may be more important right now then me heading the production. It's a lot of think about...but I'm having the best time of my life doing it.
