ok i was listening to a podcast a few days ago by the dope fiend and he said something about how bong rips are actually worse for you than SMOKING A BLUNT in some cases

i had ALWAYS thought bong rips were wayyyy better for you becuase of the water filtration, so this statement really intrigued me

anyone hear of this? or have any other info on it??

the water filters the smoke, you aren't smoking the tobacco leaf paper, and you are still inhaling smoke. maybe just the quantity of smoke is bad, but if you smoke a blunt or X amount of bong rips with the same weed, its going to be the same smoke, but the bong rips will be cleaner after being filtered through the water. i don't see how it could be any worse for you.

I REALLY wanna find some more info on this. im thinking it has to do with the amount of smoke you take in. idk about you guys but i take as big of bong rip as my lungs can hold... so maybe it chalks up your lungs easier and gets caught in your tissue???? thats probably not the case, someone help me out on this one

Vapo is the best way to smoke though, nothing compares to the volcano, finally got to try it out this weekend, and WOW!

cause youre nto used to having smoke that DEEP in your lungs prolly. ive seen guys who can kill half a joint in a hit, cough their asses off on a modest hit from a bong, just cause theyre not used to having ALL of their lung capactiy packed with smoke.

i think hes refering to the NORML funded test that concluded that a unfiltered joint was the msot efficient method of extracting THC. However i also remmeber reading in that report that they found while tehcnichally a bong should be less healthy, waterpipe smokers experienced less throat/lung irritation. either way, were talking a negligable health effect here. In fact in another study done among mroe than 1000 LA residents, even those who smoked a joint a day for 60 years, had less of a correllation with lung cancer than non smokers!

umm.. wrong. thc is mildly soluble in water and according to a norml study, a water bong filters out more thc than tar.
