Take 6. Expect 6 hours. An hour before you take them, chew calamus root ((if you have it)) or if you dont, take some over the counter anti-nausea medication. If you aren't tripping in 2 hours off 6, take 4 boosters depending on how you feel.

Encatuse: did you end up vomiting during any part of your trip? i know that all rosewood seeds contain poison (cyanide-esque) in their husks and even sometimes a bit in the seeds themselves... all natually occouring, of course.
that's the one factor that stops me from taking them. i know you're supposed to take the shell/husk off each seed, but the fact that there are still traces in the seed itself makes me wish i could extract the lsa purely, leaving behind the shite.

There are LSA extraction processes for HB Woodrose seeds. I recommend using one. Or, do what most people do as a time saver and burn off the husk with a mini-torch lighter. Anyway, yes, on my first trip the only effects were me vomitting. Three times.
The second time was much better, no nausea whatsoever ((I chewed calamus root, a natural digestive aid before during and after seed ingestion)) and a completely trippy trip. Ive been unable to replicate this experience, so I'm probably done with LSA. I can't even get CEV's anymore. The first time I did feel the effects I took 8 seeds, then 4 boosters. Ive taken as much as 16 at one time since then and felt NOTHING. No nausea, no CEV's, literally nothing. I guess tolerance builds quickly for this.

For large amounts of pure seeds why don't you plant a bunch of morning glory vines and collect the seeds in the fall, you will probably end up with a decent quantity of seeds without any pesticides on them. Don't forget morning glory seeds have strychnine in them so you might want to de-fat them with petroleum ether. Petroleum ether is a mixture of ligher hydrocarbons with pentanes and heptanes compared to heavy gasolines with octanes in the mixture. You can buy petroleum ether at wal-mart, its ozark trail camping fuel, which is extremely flamable and is the reason meth. labs explode. The petroleum ether must be distilled because there are none-volatile impurites present in the camping fuel that are poisonous. The the hydrocabons sould be distilled off so you will have pure solvent. For ethanol you cannot use ethanol from hardwear store because it is denaturated like the ether. Everclear grain alcohol from the liquor store being 90% ethanol would do nicely. organic compounds like petroleum ether are extremely flamable/explosive, and poisonous as we'll.

Remember petroleum ether is not a true ether its a mixture of hydrocabons like refined crude oil.
True ethers are so flamable that they don't need oxygen to burn because they have oxygen attached to them already. For instantance diethyl ether CH3CH2OCH2 CH3 that oxygen on the two ethyl groups make it fucking explosive like a motherfucker. I think that it is legal to distill wine, but, it is Illegal to distill products from one form to another.
Thats why solvents and fuels you buy are denaturated so that they cannot be consumed in the case of ethanol.
Ethanol is usually denaturated with methanol.
The additives in fuels are probably present so they burn more efficiently and so they cannot be used for illicit manufacture.

Another method of distillation that might work would be to take a large relatively flat aluminum baking sheet and put the impure liquid in the sheet. Then take a smaller aluminum baking sheet and anchor it in the center somehow and put plastic wrap over the top concaved inward so when the liquid evaporates under sunlight or some other uv/vis radiation source it condenses on the wrap covering and drips into the smaller baking sheet. An organic solvent might dissolve the plastic wrap though. This might work with water though. I don't know I have never tried it.

Apparatus: A 25- and 50-mL round bottom flask, ice-water bath, apparatus for heating under reflux, magnetic stirring, simple distillation, vacume filtration, and flameless heating.

Setting up: Place about 4-g of ground nutmeg in the 50-mL round bottom flask containing a stirbar and add 10-mL of diethyl ether. If only seeds of nutmeg are available, grind the seeds in a mortar and pestle or a blender. Attach water-cooled condeser to the flask, and set up the apparatus for heating under reflux.

Extraction and Isolation: Heat the mixture under refux for approximately 1/2 hr. Allow the contents of the flask to cool to room temperature. Filter the mixture through fluted filter paper into 25-mL round bottom flask, rinsing any residue remaining in the 50-mL flask onto the filter paper with an additional 2-4-mL of diethyl ether.
Equip the flask containing the filtrate for simple distillation, and remove the diethyl ether by distillation. Dissolve the resulting yellow oil in 3-4-mL of acetone while warming the mixture (no flames). Immediately pour the hot solution into a 25-mL Erlenmeyer flask. Allow the solution to stand at room temperature for about 1/2 hr. If crystallization has not occured during this time gently scratch the flask with a glass stirring rod at the air/liquid interface. Complete crystallization by cooling the flask in an ice water bath for an additional 15 min. Collect the trimyristin on a Buchner of Hirsch funnel by vacuum filtration. Transfer it to a watch glass or weighing paper and air dry.

Experimental:

Plant Material- Small plants of Trichocereus pachanoi (control) along with others were obtained commercially and maintained under greenhouse conditions. The Cactus was sliced into small peices, frozen, and freeze-dried. The Sample were pulverized in a Wiley Mill.
Exactly 5.00g of sample was extracted with basic chloroform and acid-base partitioning. The extract was dissolved in 0.8mL of methanol. The Methanol-Alkaloid-extracts were analyzed using thin-layer and gas-liquid chromatography mescaline was detected by gas-liquid chromatography in the trichocereus pachanoi sample which agreed with the tlc analysis.
