Freedom of thought is fine if you're talking about certain things however constants are what define facts as opposed to opinions which as everyone knows are like assholes, we all have one.
Sometimes opinion don't mean shit because belief versus provable facts is a no brainer.
I could say I believe that watering my plants with concentrated hydrochloric acid is good for them , the resulting dead plants would prove me wrong.

How do you unknow something you think you know? I can say "I DON'T KNOW", but in my mind "I THINK" I know, so it would be a futile process for me to try to unknow something I think I know in my mind. Better yet; how do you not think, and just be!??!

slipknotpsycho
01-29-2007, 05:46 AM
to unknow something you know you have to know that the only thing you know is you don't know. because if you don't know, then you can't possibly know, so if you know you don't know, then you'll unknow what you know.

JunkYard
01-29-2007, 05:54 AM
So all I must do is realize that I know NOTHING and this will enable me to unknow what I think I know?

I don't know man.. ..it sounds sketchy!

There are things I want to know that I don't want to unknow, so if I come to know that I DON'T know, will I unknow what I want to know, too?

If one looks at every word and makes conscious effort to be honest. Then one can become aware of the unknown.

An example ...

I live in San Francisco. ---- this is not a true statement... I dwell in San Francisco... I LIVE whereever I AM..

"DO you believe in GOD" - the definition of belive.. what does believe MEAN? how is believing different than knowing...

Stopping to LOOK and disect and distill these everyday statements and questions will begin to AWAKEN ONE... JUST don't draw any conclusions... Consclusions are for those who wish to SLEEP...

This is just the begining to awakening... to be honest and break through concepts and false understandings..

iloveyou

Or you can JUST sit.. vipassana and DO NOT REACT to the MIND..

Then ONE will awaken.... then one can observe the MIND..

yummy- iloveyou

example 2

------I don't LIKE you----

many people think this staement means "I dislike you"...

BUt that is NOT true. "I don't like you" means, I don't like you... maybe "I love you... But the way THE unconcious mind works, IT jumps to conclusions... if somebody "does not like me" they must dislike me... and this conclusion is drawn so fast that 99.9% of the people can not see it happen.. THey are trapped in a sleepy world of duality....

But there is NO reason to draw a conclusion from "I dont like you"... it is what it is... maybe "Iloveyou" ???

Knowing the know-how is what it's all about. If you know not to pretend you know, thus those who don't know, know that you know, how will they ever attempt to know what they think you know, which they don't know if they know it.

Haha, I was just trying to confuse you all.

But I did mean what I say, and I say what I mean. If I say what I don't mean, then people with think that I mean what I say that I don't mean. And in saying what I don't mean, it defeats the purpose of even saying what I mean in the first place, because then meaning what I say would become invalid.

And that would be just mean.

You dont think that its fair to say that because humans have developed a language and used it for X amount of years, that it wouldn't produce a "norm" associated with certain phrases?

You can be the crazy one who tries to make a certain phrase mean something else for you,
or you can be part of the other 99% of the population who, when they say "i dont like you", really mean they dont friggen like you.

If someones says they dont like me, im not going to assume they love me... right?

Of course trying to make a certain phrase mean something 'for you' (whether or not the phrase is being used for what it was originally intended for in the english language) doesn't make sense. The concept goes both ways. When someone says, "I don't like you.", it is only a feeble glimpse into what they really think and feel, you can't be sure of the real reason for why they said it. Maybe they're just having a bad day, or maybe they're confused about their own emotions (who isn't at times?). In any case, do they really even know 'you' well enough to honestly say they don't like you? Does anyone? If not, why should you take what they say personally and let it offend you? If someone walks up to you and says, "I hate you, you piece of shit." and you assume that these words are true, and let them offend you, you're just letting that emotional poison seep right under your skin.

Garden Knowm

assume :

The problem is... people don't always assume the same THING.. THIS is the source of all wars.. all pain.. all anguish....

We live in a world where the majority of people have to KNOW something.. and they will ASSUME things just to full fill that NEED to KNOW...

It philosophy it is called duality or "Western thought" ...

When ONE can watch THEIR mind with UNWAVERING FOCUS AND AWAKEN from the DUALITY.. or the reactive mind..

ONE experiences a re-birth and a new way of seeing... one can finally be ONESELF...

The key is to NEVER REACT.... only ACT.... assuming is a reaction...

sleeping beings react

Is there but ONE mind intertwined?
Must we listen, look, and observe to find?
Does reality lie beyond a veil of illusion;
free from fight and from a 'closed' delusion?
Should we open the gates of our mental skapes,
so we might find the truth that awaits?

Then, who can handle what this entails;
when all our lives we have been locked in shells?
Full of the negative, vinagar and piss
some might say "ignorance is bliss".
I might agree, then I'm not fully free
I'd like to awaken, but my "I" won't let my "me"

? How does one master the mind

We have the foundation to better ourselves with this beloved 'erb, given to us with love and peace in mind by jah. We shall see things that those living in ignorance will never see. We can predict the future, and answer questions that non smokers just cant grasp. Jah is helping us to discover who we really are, what we're about, and what life is about. We must not demonize it, we must cherish it like Jah has done, and treat it with the true respect it deserves. It's done so much for all of us, and for all humans, we should thank Jah for providing us with such an amazing plant. We must fight for ganja to be legal in the name of Jah.
