Hi dear mods- How do I do this? I am set up now so that whenever I open the home page, I am automatically logged in, so how do I undo that as Liberiamom so I can start over as a new woman? I feel like I am entering the witness protection program:)
Thank you!

Hey there! Saw your "goodbye" post in the main Lounge.
Normally, we just tell people to come to the sign-in page page (CANNABIS.COM Homepage (http://www.cannabis.com/)) and register with a new identity. You click on "Register Now" below the empty sign-in fields and sign up with a new member name and your email address and then we approve it. But if you're being automatically signed in, you'll have to avoid that somehow, and I'm not sure how to tell you to do that because I don't have automatic sign-in. Maybe another mod will know. Can you prevent the automatic sign-in process?
Afterwards, if you like, we can delete your previous posts as Liberiamom and ban that account so it's no longer viable.

Wow, you can do all that- it will be as if I never existed, that's amazing! Sure, that might be the best thing. Thank you!
Perhaps I should put my initials at the end of my posts for awhile as LIP suggests, or something along that line. ;)

Hey, Liberiamom,
I don't know whether you've got your new identity up and running or not, and I fear you may have already ceased to use this one, so I hesitate to write you a PM through this one. I'm going to drop you an email to your email address on your account to ask you some questions!

If you get signed in automatically...you chose that sometime in the past. al you need to do is log out, and re-register. Now I don't know why suddenly everyone want s to change their user name, but this is not supposed to be a common occurrence. Lately, though...It seems every other day people are changing names. It is getting a little rediculous; This has to stop.

I had NO idea this was offered up as an option... As a matter of fact, I was under the impression that this was NOT an option. I suppose for some members, eh? I'm too far into it to change now...but there are a few individual 'posts' I would love to be deleted. Maybe I should email a mod?
Not trying to step on any toes...Just an observation. Thanks.

it is NOT offered up as an option...this explains your options..
http://boards.cannabis.com/feedback-suggestions/82517-requesting-delete.html
if a mod is here and you have something to be deleted, most of the time we can accomodate that...it is kindof a mod by mod thing where it just depends who you ask and how much time they have...
usually we wont delete without a good reason and a link..we dont do this as a standard practice and we ask that it be kept to a minimum...kindof an emergency only basis..when you post, you have to assume it is always going to be here and post accordingly..that is pretty much the only offered option..
i think due to lm's circumstances, bird offered to do this on a single case basis..like i said, depends on the mod...

thanks KP. We do not delete all posts...This trashes the continuity of threads. If you sign up here...It is clearly stated that you will not be able to delete your posts...they become the property of the forum. What a mess we would have if we did that. Not to mention the work involved Have fun. peace

liberiamom should be a special case because she does have a plausable reason, I doubt theres many people adopting from liberia and then if she gets caught with any plant they can definately use her username to identify her or narrow down any list they have

we could go the other route and say well, she knew she was adopting and was in the process when she began here, so she should have posted accordingly...i for one would not delete a whole account for someone, as latewood said, what you post here, is here, and you should know that when you sign up....it is the same for anyone..i know people that have been here for years then start a divorce or get busted, and want everything deleted..we wont do it....again, when you come here, you know it is always gonna be here..you should always post accordingly.....
i cant explain why bg did this, you would have to ask her...this is the kind of trouble this stuff creates..do it for one, all will want it, or use this as a reference when we say no..
fog, if it is one or two deletes or something, you can let me know..much more than that, we will have to see...can you provide me with links? if you can provide me with links, it would be no problem to delete it for you...

Hey guys. Sorry I'm just signing on after all this was originally posted earlier today. I made that offer thinking I was somehow being helpful, but as I began to look further into it, I realized we don't encourage that sort of history deletion, except perhaps when there are in-depth legal issues, which I admit I did have concerns about regarding overseas adoption when I made that offer. I wrote to Liberiamom/Demeter saying that precise thing--that I discovered we don't encourage identity deletions, as we can easily show you from our emailboxes, and she wrote back saying she completely understood about the leaving-the-original identity issue visible.
Sorry for any issues (I dont' actually see issues. Just questions.). I'm humble enough to be able to admit I'm an imperfect work in progress.
