My grow op gave me Doktor Doom for mites and it has 20% Pyrethrins, apparently it is an oil from crysanthamums(sp?). Anyways it worked great on my plants and they were bad. Just spray them before lights out(they light breaks it down so it won't work) them mist them the next day to wash residue off. Then 3 nights later do the same and once more 3 days later. It kills the mites but not the eggs so you have to spay three doses because that will kill the mites as they hatch and before they reproduce, but not all the eggs hatch at once(3 days is the usual cycle), so the third treatment will take care of them. No harm to my plants and the mites were gone for a long time, now they are back on two of the really badly effected plants but I caught it early on only a few leaves So I have 2 treat ments left.. I suggest wearing a mask though and to change your clothes afterwards but I'm just paranoid because I'm breastfeeding, and have a 6 month old who sleeps with us sometimes(I spray at bedtime) so I'm not taking chances.
Hope that helps

I use neem all the time. I have just recently started using it tho, but i can try to answer any questions you have about it. If I can't, StinkyAttic is the neem guru. lol.

"Multi purpose insecticide/fungicide/miticed. Kills eggs, larval, and adult stages of insects. prevents fungal attack of plants' tissues. Not for use in food'handling areas. Green Light Fruit Tree Spray is most effective when applied in early to mid morning or late afternoon when adult pests, such as whitefiles, are normally sedentary on the undersides of the foliage."
i know what pyrethrins are, that's probably what kills the eggs.
the piperonyl butoxide stuff must be the fugicide...
anyway, i'm going to give it a shot in the morn (reverse cycle, so morning is bedtime ;))
thanx guys  i'll let you know what happens.

bump, didn't use it yet, still would like to find someone who has...

just try it on one part of the plant, put it on some internodal growth and mark it; in a day or two you'll know what it does, dont use it once you start to flower.
