Anyone here done it, or parts of it? me and a group of really close friends (smokers too!) are going to hike the entire thing south to north after we all graduate from college...should be a life changing event, and we are planning to grow some killer bud to take with us!

Man, if you guys hike the AT, you let me know and I'll meet you along your way. It cuts right by my hometown in NC. I've been on it a few times while out camping, but never even though about doing the wole thing.

I would love to do it. But maybe in quarters. Long time to walk it start to end all at once. Or even mountain bike it.

It's going to end up like the descent. Just saw that movie last night, pretty good. It's about caves in the appalachian mountains.

I have hike about 30 miles of it. It is some beautiful country. Pack some weed and lots and lots of trail mix, and good luck.

I would love to do it, but can't now. Word of advice. Plan. My friend broke his foot hiking and was really up shit creek and had to rely on strangers to help him, spoiling their hike.
