I'm always impressed with his range, his experimentation, his creativity. Kenny Rogers, Earth Wind and Fire, and The Rock on a rap album- geez, what other rapper would do that? And it always seems like it's all about the music for him, not chasing a 'pop' career with fluffy billboard chart stuff.
I have Masquerade, Preacher's Son and The Ecclefftic, and all are solid CDs.

We are the next generation, we ain't scared to die
The only thing we fear is the afterlife
Cause I don't know what's there, on the otherside
But I pray the Lord forgives me, gives me one more try

Wyclef showed up at this hip-hop radio station in Tampa (back in 2000 when I lived in the area)- just a little local broadcaster, and he hung out and smoked and rapped with the DJs for a few hours. Totally improptu performance. He wasn't showing off, just doing what he loves to do.

That sounds really intense. Would've loved to have seen that.
