Murder keping the temp up with our current weather mate but i didnt get no probs and mine was dropping down to around the same at lights off .What i done was brought my lights on temp down so that their wasnt a massive drop when the lights went out as imo dropping from 78 to 59 is worst than dropping from 70 to 59 or have your lights come on at the coldest part of the day and off at the warmest . be safe mate and hope you sort it out .the postman.

It really depends on the strain you are growing and what the humidity is. 59F at night can definitely slow the growth of some strains and stress them out, however its usually not till 50 or 55F that you start actually seeing problems (droopy leaves, slowed growth, leaves turning red and the sides curling up, etc). Then again, one of my grow rooms reaches the 55-60 mark every single night and I still get a good enough end result to not do anything about it. The problem is when my humidity gets too low or too high in conjunction with the low temps...thats when I start getting powdery mildew.

The larger the plants, the better they will resist the cold. The other thing is, if you have purples, they will definitely go purple with temps that cold. Hell, some of my non-purple strains go purple with the sub 60F temps. But the nugs are never as big as my rooms that are more controlled and where the nighttime temps dont go below 63F.
