My air pump is pretty quiet, the hydro store has a bunch to offer. I don't remember the company that produced mine, but it will work for as large as a 60 gallon resivoir (I only do 30 at a time)

Depends on your definition of quiet... My inline fans dwarf the noise of the 35 watt pumps. Most of the ecoplus stuff works great but I wouldn't neccessarily say its quiet. The 4 port adjustable allows you to turn it down considerably. Its 24 watts and only about $25. What are you trying to run anyways?

my fan is quite noisy, but once i attatch it to the hosing, and cover that all in the thick plastic i use for light reflection (i don't use mylar...this stuff is much thicker) it deafens the sound almost completely. so even if u do get a noisy fan, there are ways to quiet it. (if you really wanted to go all out, you could wrap your hosing/vent system with material to muffle the sound)
