Ah, I had an idea it would be something along those lines.

I haven't been into that music since my "Cid"ney days. :p My favorite was Aphex Twin.

lol, it's definitely some cidney music.

They're very different from Aphex Twin. Shpongle's albums are well-crafted and perfectly flows. It's great for spacing out, nice tribal-like fading out to that shpongle sound.

and thcbongman, I wouldn't classify them as Psy/Goa Trance, although they have released two songs that would fit under that genre.

Its to bad the May 26th live show went down the tubes. But a new album will deffinetly make up for that! :D

I actually haven't heard their albums straight through like they should, but since the Boxset was cancelled i'm going to order them (The day I was going to order them the news of that set came out). I have heard almost none of the latest album Nothing Lasts... but Nothing is Lost, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

It's pretty hard to label Shpongle under any catagory, but it's the closest I can come up with, because it's so unique.

You gotta get Nothing Lasts....But Nothing Is Lost. it's a damn good album. My favorites are in the Tales Of The Inexpressible. I can't really chose a favorite song from that album because all of them I feel are interconnected. I would have to say the last 4 songs in continuation: Shpongleyes, Once Upon A Sea Of Blissful Awareness, Around The World In A Tea Daze, Flute Fruit. Builds up to the climax in Tea Daze, and then fades into a sense of calm with Fruit Flies. Just leaves your eyes wide open of how amazing Shpongle is. It accentuates the spritualness of humanity.

Smoke a couple of bowls and listen to all their albums straight through. I guarantee you'll be in awe after you finish each one :)
